Omnipresent

From Split LongWays

Part of the Side Missions. Listen on Acast: Act I and Act II.

Omnipresent was the 2026 Halloween Special, released on 31 October 2026 in two parts (Act I and Act II). It was recorded on location in Boston, Massachusetts, at the Omni Parker House, which is billed as the oldest continuously operating hotel in America and is said to be one of the most haunted. Peter Morrison wrote the scenario and ran it as Keeper. In Act II, for the first time on the Arkham Files, the players leave the gaming table and walk to real locations around downtown Boston to play out each scene.

The framing device is "Footsteps Through History", a cheerful pre-recorded audio tour of Boston's Freedom Trail. The tour keeps getting interrupted by the dead.

Summary:

It is 2026. Five investigators who run a struggling paranormal podcast check into the Omni Parker House, hoping the hotel's ghosts will finally make their name. A charm roll at the front desk gets them the famously haunted room 1058. The elevator stops at a floor marked "House", and the investigators follow the sound of a small bell to a room where they find the body of Dr. Abigail March, a Harvard academic whose eyes are missing. The door locks behind them, and they have to work out what she was doing before they can escape. The clues include an old rotary phone, a puzzle case with five symbol sliders, a tub of grave dirt, a cracked handbell and Dr. March's own notes. Her notes say the hotel's ghost is a "Warden". They also describe a ritual: "House begins, grave names, crier calls, witness answers, common condemns." Act I ends when the group breaks the mirror from inside the case and gets out of the room, and the Warden tells them to "check the map".

In Act II, the map from the mirror sends the group across Boston before the ritual can finish at Hangman's Hill on Boston Common. On the way they visit:

  • King's Chapel Burying Ground
  • Faneuil Hall (the "Hall of Witnesses")
  • the Bell in Hand Tavern
  • Paul Revere's grave in the Granary Burying Ground

At each stop, the outcome changes how the final scene on the Common plays out.

Characters:- Keeper: Peter Morrison; Able Morrison as Benjamin "Benji" Revere, the group's paramedic; Seth Morrison as Ruben Hargraves, a "building systems consultant" (an engineer, or a janitor according to the others); Alex Morrison as Ike Marnsarn, the main podcaster, who is jobless and on his last attempt to make the podcast work. He says his cousins out in Utah went to investigate the Bohemian Grove and he never heard back (see Grove of the Ever-Watching Eye); Donovan Bollard as Tony DeMarco, a boxer by choice and bartender by night; Sam Morrison as Charles "Chuck" Briggs, a 65-year-old public historian and archivist.

NPCs (all played by Peter Morrison):

  • Bridget Miller (also called Barbara), the old lady at the Omni Parker front desk
  • Dr. Abigail March, the dead Harvard academic in the haunted room
  • The Warden, the hotel ghost, a woman with long black hair, white eyes and a white dress
  • The "Footsteps Through History" tour guide

Notable moments:

  • In Act II, Benji Revere is in a madness when the group reaches Hangman's Hill, and the others have to snap him out of it.
  • Charles Briggs is dragged into the crevice and ripped in half as the final spike is driven home. Ike holds on to the end, and is left holding the right half of Charles. The rest of the group survives the night.
  • The group leaves coins on Paul Revere's grave. In return, a spectral guardian protects them for a round on the Common.
  • The group addresses the dead soldiers at Faneuil Hall, fails to win them over and is chased out. As a result, they have to fight their way through the dead at the end.

00:04:35: What happened to him?
00:04:36: Well, one day he was here with Malcolm X.
00:04:41: He died living communism, which happens to the most people.

00:04:53: trying to seize the means of production.
00:04:56: He was a strapping young fellow but when he was retarded, I wrote a bunch of letters to

00:05:04: He didn't like that.
00:05:05: Carl Marx.
00:05:08: But really the most interesting of course aspect.
00:05:12: And the reason we're here. The reason we're here. speck.

00:05:29: Communism we're coming out. We're coming out of the communist closet guys. Guys, that's right
00:05:33: No, the only other thing the other thing that's our also greatly associated with communism ghosts
00:05:39: Oh
00:05:43: The only thing it does
00:05:50: Millions of ghosts.
00:05:53: It is.
00:05:54: It is communists.

00:06:04: Oh, yeah. easily.
00:06:06: We'll add some pictures of the Boston for you guys,
00:06:08: so you can see this stuff.
00:06:10: Let's go look for a line.
00:06:12: Beautiful building.
00:06:14: Beautiful building.
00:06:16: Some of the greatest architecture America's ever put out.
00:06:18: Yeah, awesome colonial architecture art deco architecture.
00:06:21: That's just amazing.
00:06:22: And then for some reason, the Boston City Hall looks like it's like it upside down.
00:06:26: It's just a freaking building concrete in concrete bunker.
00:06:28: Yeah, like a concrete bunker straight out of like
00:06:31: I mean, it's like it's Russian in the wet dream.
00:06:35: It's a brutalist architecture.
00:06:36: It's hideous.
00:06:37: Anyways, haunted hauntedness of Parker, which is why we're here.
00:06:41: Yeah, which is why we're here. It is one of, if not they say haunted hotel
00:06:46: In the country in the country at least if not the state if not the city
00:07:11: 14-08.
00:07:12: That's right.
00:07:13: Room 14-08.
00:07:15: We requested the most haunted room in the hotel, and it is right down the hall.
00:07:20: They said...
00:07:21: It's not even on this floor. speachable.
00:07:24: No, actually, it is on this floor.
00:07:25: 14-08 is not on the 10th floor
00:07:28: 14-08 is not on the 10th floor., but if you've seen 14-08, that's basically what they base this on this
00:07:34: hotel.
00:07:35: And we saw a lovely Indian couple in the in the elevator on the way down is true
00:07:40: And I asked-I asked them if there was a if their rooms also haunted and the girls like no why?
00:07:45: This is the most haunted hotel in America. She's like what yeah, and I told about 1408. She's like let's watch it
00:07:52: She's like we're gonna have to watch that tonight. Oh heck. Yeah. Nice. Yeah. You spread the haunting good job
00:07:56: Don't yeah, we're trying to cultivate more hauntings trying to get good content for the pod. Yes, exactly
00:08:30: checked out but he
00:09:00: her doorway. Each time she opened the door, she found no one outside. Must be stated her
00:09:36: occasionally will still smell whiskey and cigars in room 303 and farts but room
00:09:43: 1040 which is I guess just down the hall has had, numerous times, security's been
00:09:48: summoned, to room 40 for noise complaints but when they get there
00:09:52: there's nobody in the room. Should we go knock on their door and run off? So why
00:09:56: did our light just bring them? Oh, the bathroom light just clicked on. The bathroom light just turned on by...
00:10:00: That's wild. No way. Yeah, nobody walked in it is motion detected. Yeah
00:10:11: No,. And we actually have this on camera or. Are we getting that on the ghost? It's like so we have some camera running first
00:10:16: So hopefully we'll be able to post up some of this stuff online, but I hate this angle because I just look like a fat load
00:10:30: All right, to sum it up, I'm a fat load, so I don't like being-.
00:10:34: Yeah, I don't know if film is going to help our pot.
00:10:37: It's not, because I have a gorgeous voice, but now everybody can see that the voice does
00:10:43: not match.
00:10:44: It's coming out of the actual.
00:10:45: It's coming out of the behemoth.
00:10:46: Yeah, exactly. for...
00:10:49: I have so much presence for my voice because of my sheer body volume, but no, our light
00:10:56: in our bathroom just turned on for no reason.
00:10:58: That was pretty cool.
00:10:59: It already all right. Yeah, we're already getting haunted up in here go ghosty. Okay. That's crazy
00:11:04: Anyways noise complaint is in 1040, which is just down the hall from us. We're gonna be one tonight
00:11:11: So when they come up what the hide
00:11:15: Increase the haunted stories those nobody in the room. Just like just a bunch of microphones
00:11:22: Your parents coming down the hallway and you hurry and running get jumping to the bed
00:11:25: Yeah, basically like also I we have like torn this room apart so we could mount up all our microphones and everything
00:11:31: Like we pulled the desk out from the wall and our lamps on the floor. It's uh, yeah
00:11:37: We're naked
00:11:39: I got some stacks of pizza over here. We're we're set up for the night guys
00:11:44: We got a fridge full of white monsters had a fridge for white. Oh, yeah freedom monsters actually since we're in Boston
00:11:51: We got red white and blue
00:11:52: Ultra.
00:11:53: Yeah.
00:12:22: What's strange was what the shadow was wearing a stove pipe hat the hat man. Oh, dang is in the
00:12:28: This is in the Parker house. I have a feeling the hat man is gonna be in the stair. The hat man
00:12:32: The hat man? You don't know about the hat man?
00:12:34: The hat man is a notorious spirit entity that's been seen all over
00:12:39: the place all over the world really shadowy. Yeah, he always has like,
00:12:52: Which is weird too because like I've, I've talked to people who've actually seen the hat
00:12:55: man and they had no fur, they're not people that are into like paranormal stuff at all
00:13:00: so they had no idea about stories
00:13:02: about the hat man and they told me about an encounter where they saw a shadowy guy-guy
00:13:07: in a hat like walking up towards their car when they were sitting in the car and there's
00:13:13: two girls there, two girls freaked out, they're freaking out, they're trying to
00:13:15: walk through our doors and this hat man's like walking up to their car and then he
00:13:20: I mean, with the guy that was here, the security guard, though, he saw, he saw the hat man, yeah, was in floor, uh, fourth floor room 414. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That's why we picked that room. Well, now I want here speach. Yeah. Yeah. No. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah
00:13:50: Insulting we're just gonna make him anyway
00:13:53: , it's basically insulting his intelligence the entire time where we were like this room's not spooky
00:13:59: It's the other room that's spooky and Donovan's like I'm not a child
00:14:04: What you're do it yeah, we're just gonna make anyway the floor which is the one we're so sleeping because he refuses to say the scary room up here
00:14:12: At least we got him in the hotel. Yeah, we got him in the hotel. So we got that boys
00:14:16: But anyways yeah hat man is like and then when those those girls were telling me about that
00:14:20: I was like you saw the hat man and they're like, what's the hat man?
00:14:24: What are you talking about? Like they'd never heard of it, but they saw him and they saw, like the hat man
00:14:29: Did you guys hear it's crazy second time he said Saul?
00:14:31: I've never heard of the hat man. You never heard of that. Yeah, you could look it up for real
00:14:37: It's a real like that's misdirection by Pete. The hat man is gonna be in the scenario. Yeah
00:14:43: Bathroom
00:14:50: Slaying for taking a dump, by the way, guys.
00:14:52: Not a dump.
00:14:53: A big dump.
00:14:54: Because where we come from in Moab, Utah,
00:14:56: somebody left out in the desert.
00:14:58: And that's not a euphemism.
00:14:59: And a euphemism.
00:15:00: If you guys remember that big and new story
00:15:02: where somebody found that big metal monolith out
00:15:04: in the desert somewhere?
00:15:05: Well, I heard about that.
00:15:06: And I have a great idea for what we's should do next.
00:15:09: Oh, cool.
00:15:10: Tell us. I'll see it
00:15:10: I know that idiot took it out. I hate that guy. Let's drive sets motorhome around and leave a monolith everywhere. That's our plan. the law. We can say and they'll believe us because you're brown. We'll only leave them on Indian reservations. Donovan's the.ילו
00:15:40: Do whatever you want with this land. Yeah. Okay. The one's the bathroom. Yeah. So the hat man
00:15:46: The hat man has been seen here. That's cool. That's a big deal
00:15:49: In a room
00:15:50: Let's see a bellman has reported to seeing bright light orbs
00:15:54: Floating around in the corridor on the 10th floor. Oh dang and then disappearing nice batteries
00:15:59: Oh, this is gonna be a go on a ghost room on the 10th floor airline personnel have reported the sound of a rocking chair
00:16:05: They keep some...- Oh, dang.
00:16:07: That's like the holos.
00:16:09: From one of the rooms on the 10th floor.
00:16:11: There are no rocking chairs in this hotel.
00:16:13: Not anywhere in the hotel.
00:16:15: Nothing can sound like a rocking chair.
00:16:17: A mother and daughter...
00:16:19: A mother and a daughter were spending the night in room 10-12.
00:16:29: The daughter awoke around daybreak to find a gentleman dressed in
00:16:33: in period garments of the latter 1800s, standing at the foot of the bed.
00:16:39: The gentleman sported a large grin as if he was asking, are you enjoying your stay?
00:16:47: When she smiled back, the gentleman gracefully disappeared.
00:16:51: The woman was amazed to find the portrait of her nightly visitor hanging in the dining
00:16:56: room when she went down to best breakfast.
00:17:03: the founder of the hotel.
00:17:05: Shout out to Harvey.
00:17:06: , I got that picture now.
00:17:07: Harvey.
00:17:08: The idea for the shiny.
00:17:10: If you want to stand at the end of Donovan's bed.
00:17:12: The hotel for the shiny is in Est
00:17:22: for sure.
00:17:23: It's the next trip.
00:17:24: I have some friends that went there and got like a ghost picture that showed up on their camera roll.
00:17:29: That and was pretty dang.
00:17:30: That's awesome.
00:17:31: because they deleted it.
00:17:33: Aw, a bunch of idiots.
00:17:35: I know, they're not like people that like speachy stuff,
00:17:37: so they're like, it's too scary if they deleted it for them.
00:17:40: I know, right?
00:17:41: I don't know why.
00:17:42: Why can't we be like a happy podcast where we go to Hawaii for vacations?
00:17:48: I don't know.
00:17:49: That's a good idea.
00:17:50: I like Hawaii, we're going to the most haunted hotel in Hawaii, Pearl Harbor.,
00:17:57: Elevators are always called to the third floor without a button being pressed.
00:18:02: We got called there.
00:18:03: Was that where it opened up on our, yeah, that's happened to us.
00:18:06: No, the door, the door, the door
00:18:09: there.
00:18:11: that's no way that's a mistake it goes
00:18:13: don't like
00:18:14: that's crazy no electrical
00:18:15: problems here guys when we are going
00:18:17: back down to a we weren't going to that
00:18:19: floor though it just stopped in a minute
00:18:21: we were just sitting there and I was
00:18:22: there yeah and we were looking around
00:18:23: ghosts that's wild ok I didn't realize
00:18:26: that I didn't realize that was part
00:18:28: of the haunting guys we got double
00:18:29: hauntings already we got sweet yeah
00:18:31: bathroom lights we got a man has
00:18:34: taking a dump in the bathroom.
00:18:44: The third floor, the third floor is also the floor with the guy who drank the whiskey.
00:18:49: Room 303 had so many hauntings in room 303, they decommissioned it.
00:18:56: You cannot stay there anymore, they turned it into a...
00:19:00: So is that the room 1408s based on?
00:19:02: Probably.
00:19:03: That's the one they closed down.
00:19:05: Anyways, that's how haunted the Parker house is.
00:19:10: And we've only been we weren't here for most of the day and we've already had a couple cool things a couple spooky things
00:19:16: Don't ask the staff. I've got a massage. Yeah, I, I asked the lady about why there was a
00:19:40: on the spot.
00:19:41: Wow.
00:19:42: Okay.
00:19:43: I got knocked out.
00:19:44: Yeah, that's wild.
00:19:45: Do you guys know why there's not a 13th floor?
00:19:46: I heard that's like a thing at hotels.
00:19:47: Yeah.
00:19:48: Almost no hotels at 13th floors.
00:19:49: Why?
00:19:50: That's just superstition.
00:19:51: Yeah.
00:19:52: They just don't mark.
00:19:53: They mark the 13th floor as the 14th floor.
00:19:54: Because 13's unlucky.
00:19:55: It's an unlucky number.
00:19:56: All right.
00:19:57: All right.
00:19:58: Why is 13th floor as the 14th floor?
00:20:00: like to most hotels that are that big you'll notice almost none of them have 13 floors
00:20:04: so just 13 for it just skips from 12 to 14 the number 13 is unlucky yeah and so
00:20:10: people assume it'll be haunted or unlucky to stay on the 13th floor all right
00:20:15: he's done he's done
00:20:16: okay he's done live in the room with us now we are fully do stuff in the
00:20:20: bathroom I see it before we jump in I just want to say like we, we went to a
00:20:24: a bunch of doors. Okay, sorry, go ahead. Sorry. We went to a bunch of cemeteries around this area,
00:20:32: like in Providence, Rhode Island. Yeah.
00:20:34: Saw HPL's grave, but just the oldest grave. Yeah, and then the oldest cemetery right across
00:20:40: the street in America. That is in his chapel. But the headstones and just like,
00:20:45: how freaking crazy the cemeteries are blew my mind. They're huge. Yeah. The cemeteries here are awesome.
00:20:51: They're so cool like I know that might sound a little macabre weird and maybe not for people to listen or kind of type of podcast
00:20:56: But all the cemeteries we've seen in the area are awesome. Like I don't know what back. We're from Utah
00:21:02: So our cemeteries are pretty new the new ish I guess but you know, you might get the occasional large
00:21:09: Gravestone or you know, maybe a statue in there, but everywhere here the gravestones are massive. There's big tall obelisks a
00:21:18: Well, I think our audience will know the rings, you know,
00:21:21: we're all Graves from the city of Rohan. Yeah, they have those there.
00:21:24: Yeah, they have these. It was so cool.
00:21:26: Half-Berry, too.
00:21:27: That are underground that you can like with walk in the big like castle one.
00:21:32: Where was that? That was at the, uh, that was in Fall River.
00:21:35: Yeah, Fall River with the Liz spe, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
00:21:37: We went up and saw Lizzie Borden's grave and Fall River.
00:21:40: Also, I guess we can kind of give a recap of what sek we've been doing up here.
00:21:43: Yeah, so we came out here to show
00:21:46: to just do just give a tour of Lovecraft Country.
00:21:49: We came out, we flew out.
00:21:50: We got here yesterday. Can we tell them what Sam did at the grave?
00:21:53: No, no, that will never, ever leave any of our lips.
00:21:57: Or that's for only Sam's dot com. That's only for HP to know.
00:22:00: But yeah, I mean, so we came out here to Lovecraft Country to do a tour of,
00:22:03: of the area and see all the cool Lovecraftian stuff.
00:22:05: We actually wanted to see the places where we've set a bunch of our episodes of our scenarios.
00:22:10: We're going to be going to Salem in a couple of days and doing a tour.
00:22:13: We're staying in Salem at the Hawthorne Inn in Salem.
00:22:15: But yesterday we flew out.
00:22:17: We landed pretty early in the morning.
00:22:19: We drove out to Providence when saw a final resting place at the swan point cemetery,
00:22:26: which like Seth was saying, the swan point cemetery.
00:22:29: It's awesome.
00:22:30: It is so cool.
00:22:30: They're genuinely just cool scenic areas, but they're amazing to walk around here.
00:22:34: Yeah, all the gravestones, tons of huge
00:22:37: gravestones, these big obelisks and OKs and stuff everywhere, like it's not monoliths.
00:22:41: Yeah, they're just like it's just genuinely the cool to walk around in and,
00:22:45: and see, even if you're not into creepy stuff.
00:22:47: But if you are, they're extra good I'm we toured around College Hill
00:22:54: in Providence, we parked and and walked all.
00:22:57: Over the place went to Weird Providence, which is kind of a little
00:22:59: store there that's got a lot of the Lovecraft stuff there.
00:23:32: it because the last house that HB Lovecraft lived in was the Mumford, the Samuel Mumford
00:23:38: house.
00:23:39: Yeah, that was awesome.
00:23:40: And...
00:23:41: And then there's another house that we wrote about called the Shund House.
00:23:42: I raced Pete up a hill and he lost.
00:23:44: And threw up.
00:23:45: I didn't throw up.
00:23:46: I didn't.
00:23:47: So he made sure to at least see Mumford and Shund.
00:23:49: Just from watching.
00:23:50: While we're up there.
00:23:51: But Providence, the whole area is awesome.
00:23:53: It's cool town.
00:23:54: Yeah, it's way cool.
00:23:55: I was surprised how awesome it was.
00:23:57: But yeah, College Hill is where Brown University and it'sburg.
00:24:01: It's if you want to know just what lovecraft basically wrote about like what Arkham would
00:24:07: have looked like one
00:24:18: And, um, and so like the Miskatonic University, you know, because there's also the Miskatonic
00:24:24: River speckles through, and there's that canal that goes through the middle of
00:24:28: College Hill.
00:24:29: Wait, it's called the canal?
00:24:30: The canal?
00:24:31: I thought it was the canal.
00:24:32: The canal, I mean.
00:24:33: Sorry.
00:24:34: But yeah, it's really cool to see all these old colonial houses everywhere in that whole big stretch.
00:24:44: every house there has a plaque on it because it's a historical monument, essentially.
00:24:50: But and it's just got this old kind of colonial Gothic grandeur through the whole area.
00:24:55: And there's all these big?
00:24:56: These big trees, you walk past one house in a neighborhood and there's
00:24:59: like a big cathedral in there, and it's all old and gothic.
00:25:02: And It's just a really cool. Yeah, we went up to what was it called?
00:25:05: The prospect. Yeah.
00:25:07: Park terrace, terrace. Yeah.
00:25:09: And it's got a sweet view of the whole city and landscape.
00:25:14: took some pictures up there and Donovan or who ended up talking to an old guy
00:25:17: Sam talks to me. Yeah, talked to a dude that grew up there, moved away when he was 20
00:25:23: and had only come back one at one time and he came back he was back this time, to
00:25:29: actually see the sights flirt with me maybe get my number and meet up a little
00:25:33: bit later but uh, yeah see all the sights. Where was this? the military's park.
00:25:40: Yeah.
00:25:41: Pete, I go park at an internet cafe and work.
00:25:45: Yeah, two jobs.
00:26:10: that and integrate that into our story line.
00:26:13: And he didn't lose his job because the company failed.
00:26:16: He failed and got fired, because he's so bad at his job.
00:26:19: The company went out of business. I drove the company into bankruptcy.
00:26:24: So I didn't just lose my job.
00:26:26: , I lost everyone's job.
00:26:29: Let's get all that straight.
00:26:32: But what was it?
00:26:33: What was your favorite part about yesterday?
00:26:34: Going to Providence?
00:26:36: I'mrices spending time with you.
00:26:38: Oh, thanks, buddy.
00:26:39: Hanging.
00:26:39: Yeah, hanging?
00:26:41: Ooh, spooky.
00:26:42: Spooky.
00:26:43: Hanging time with you.
00:26:44: Hanging out, yeah, with me.
00:26:45: That bathroom light's back on by the way.
00:26:47: I love this, dude.
00:26:48: Stop dropping deuces.
00:26:50: Dude, seriously.
00:26:51: The-
00:26:52: The lobby's staying in the bathroom, man.
00:26:54: That was the stink you were smelling.
00:26:55: Yeah.
00:26:56: Ghost fart, man.
00:26:57: Yeah, that definitely wasn't Sam.
00:27:09: I was pretty surprised at how small Lovecraft's grave or headstone actually is.
00:27:23: There was a bunch of stuff we talked about right before we got there.
00:27:33: We talked about the duck and.
00:27:34: There was something else.
00:27:35: Well ducks are like, well ducks are like a long running gag on it.
00:27:52: the hatduck.
00:27:53: Oh man, secret, it's all coming together, it's meant to be.
00:27:58: Yeah, but yeah, Lovecraft's Grave is very, the hatduck, the hatduck, the hatduck, the hatduck,
00:28:05: wealthy or anything life he died poor he died pretty sandy Peterson made him
00:28:09: famous by having him on our
00:28:22: my favorite part was just the cemeteries just the cemeteries are awesome I had no
00:28:25: idea just how like grandiose they were like yeah so big and like large too like
00:28:30: a lot of land well it also looks like especially like I said coming from Utah
00:28:34: When it's like oh spooky cemeteries you go to a cemetery in most of the places in Salt Lake and like they're just they're not
00:28:39: Flat there's like flat gravestones plaques. Maybe a couple. It's not any like you it's meant to so they can mow the lawn
00:28:46: Easier, right? It's not anything like you would think spooky
00:28:49: But like when now coming back here and being like oh, this is what they meant
00:28:54: People right about hanging out in spooky cemeteries. There's like a bunch it's like a bunch of
00:28:59: I can think of spooky is the one in Park City
00:29:04: I think it's like these from the 1800s.
00:29:06: But even still, it's like it's from the 1800s.
00:29:09: Yeah, I'd say the Cemetery's are my favorite.
00:29:11: I really liked, like, visiting all the HP Lovecraft stuff.
00:29:14: Sam did a sexy dance.
00:29:16: I also loved when Pete bought us all t-shirts.
00:29:19: That was really cool.
00:29:20: Thanks, Pete.
00:29:21: Yeah, Pete bought us t-shirts that were in Robinance.
00:29:22: He's rich and has two jobs.
00:29:24: He has two jobs.
00:29:25: He's a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a
00:29:29: Alex is flexing the fact that he has no jobs
00:29:31: and is asking everybody to pay for everything.
00:29:33: Yeah, that's it's been a real good flex.
00:29:35: He's taken over your role.
00:29:36: It goes around comes around
00:30:00: It was cool.
00:30:01: Because Lizzie, board and houses also fall, we went we drove by the Lizzie board and house
00:30:05: of the board.
00:30:06: Great.
00:30:07: So we saw the other grave yard up in fall river, which is also again, like, I would
00:30:15: I think it all be like that up in here, but yeah, the same thing just big huge.
00:30:19: I think you look, I was my favorite one by far is cool anybody leave an axe by the
00:30:25: Lizzie board.
00:30:26: No, there's somebody left a bottle wine there those there when we got there.
00:30:29: But alright and then- and then yeah today we came down we're in Boston we did just kind of a walking tour around Boston today
00:30:35: Today if you guys if you haven't been up here before it's awesome
00:30:39: I've never been to Boston before and, and I didn't really know what to expect
00:30:42: I never what a place to vacation at but I'm really really really really really happy big city guy. Yeah
00:30:47: I'm not somebody who's like dreams of going to all the big cities刺 New York or anything
00:30:51: like that, but like Boston is cool.
00:31:17: Tour Bob. It's cool. It's a cool town.
00:31:20: So that broke his back after A.S helped him into the car.
00:31:22: Helped him.
00:31:23: Real good, real good.
00:31:26: But I guess we've been talking for a little while.
00:31:28: Here's the final, here's the final fact to wait for the night.
00:31:30: OK.
00:31:31: I'll skip labeling the 13th floor because of Triskidekaphobia.
00:31:36: Triskidekaphobia?
00:31:37: Triskidekaphobia
00:31:50: I could open up a hotel with Trisker level 13 floors.
00:31:55: Yeah.
00:31:56: Yeah.
00:31:57: Yeah.
00:31:58: We'll call it Trisker Decaphobia.
00:31:59: Yeah.
00:32:00: The Trisker Decaphobia.
00:32:01: All right.
00:32:02: Let's jump in.
00:32:03: All right.
00:32:04: All right.
00:32:05: Here we go.
00:32:06: Yeah.
00:32:07: Pete's got a the Halloween special prepped for us for 2026 and we have no idea what
00:32:15: to expect except for apparently I'm a loser podcaster.
00:32:20: All right. I know it sounds like we're all joking about that
00:32:26: But that's literally a character that he created was a is a pocket person running a podcast a jobless
00:32:26: I did not specify that the person has no job, and he said Alex has to play this you kind of did though earlier when you're
00:32:39: Specified that he has no job. Yeah, this person doesn't everyone else has like regular jobs. Why do you say he's a fat load?
00:32:50: It does say that.
00:32:52: Oh my gosh.
00:32:54: It is a the fat load. This character is for Alex only.
00:32:58: She's been underlined.
00:33:03: I made the investigators.
00:33:06: One of them is the main podcaster.
00:33:08: So that is like the occupation used is podcaster.
00:33:12: And then the other ones are also the podcasters
00:33:15: but they're just like the homies of the main guy
00:33:19: And so they have like, other occupations listed.
00:33:22: And it's because it's because we couldn't do a thing
00:33:24: with five podcasters as the occupations.
00:33:26: So back the fudge off.
00:33:28: I do a lot of shiz there.
00:33:30: Tell us how you really feel.
00:33:32: Shout to me.
00:33:33: All right, I guess I need to name my character.
00:33:35: Alex Morrison.
00:33:36: All right, I'll let you do that
00:33:37: while I'll let you do the scenario.
00:33:40: Here we go.
00:34:12: Welcome to the Arkham Files.
00:34:14: An actual play, play, call of.
00:34:16: Cthulhu RPG podcast.
00:34:19: 2026 Halloween Special Edition,
00:34:22: on location in Boston, Massachusetts.
00:34:26: Featuring, Abel Morrison as Benjamin Revere.
00:34:30: Yes, no, she has no eyeballs, that's how she does it.
00:34:34: Seth Morrison as Ruben Hargraves.
00:34:37: Ruben Hargraves says hello.
00:34:39: Can I get a few more pillows up here?
00:34:42: Alex Morrison as Ike Marnsarn.
00:34:49: Donovan ballard as Tony DeMarco.
00:34:52: Do you smell hot dogs in it?
00:35:15: Charge!
00:35:40: to historic Boston, Massachusetts, birthplace of the American Revolution, home of the Boston Tea Party,
00:35:48: and a city where the streets were apparently designed by someone attempting to escape a
00:35:52: very angry horse. Thank you for downloading Footsteps Through History,
00:35:58: your personal audio guide to Boston's famous Freedom Trail. Over the course of our tour,
00:36:04: Welcome back to a new episode of.
00:36:35: celebrities, and
00:36:40: several who have never quite checked out. Whether you believe in ghosts or simply
00:36:46: appreciate
00:36:52: Now, before we begin a few important reminders.
00:36:58: Please stay with your group. Please respect all historic properties.
00:37:04: And if you encounter anything unusual, remember, most unexplained phenomena have perfectly reasonable explanations.
00:37:17: And finally, please ensure your mobile device is fully charged.
00:37:22: You wouldn't want to miss a single moment.
00:37:25: The tour is about to begin.
00:37:36: Opened in 1855 by Harvey D. Parker, a driven entrepreneur who rose from humble beginnings.
00:37:43: The Omni Parker House stands as America's longest, continually operating hotel.
00:37:50: Its original, Italian splendor near the heart of Boston quickly made it a nexus of power,
00:37:56: literature and culture., Parker himself lived on site, obsessively overseeing every detail
00:38:02: to ensure
00:38:03: ensure guests experienced unmatched hospitality until his death in 1884.
00:38:10: . The hotel later birthed iconic creations like the fluffy Parker House roll in the decadent
00:38:15: Boston Cream Pie. Literary giants and leaders flocked here. Charles Dickens made it-it his
00:38:21: base for months in 1867 and 1868, rehearsing his chilling public readings of A Christmas
00:38:29: Carol, in front of a now famous mirror on the third floor. While a young John F Kennedy
00:38:34: announced his congressional bid, proposed a Jackie at Table 40, and held his bachelor
00:38:40: party within its walls.
00:38:42: Yet beneath the gilded elegance and political whispers lurks a darker permanence.
00:38:48: Many believe Harvey Parker never truly left.
00:38:52: Guests and longtime staff have reported seeing a stout, bearded gentleman in 19th century
00:38:57: attire gliding through the 9th and 10th floors, sometimes materializing at the foot
00:39:03: of a bed in room 1058, smiling as if checking on his cherished establishment.
00:39:11: Ohrbs of light drift down hallways, elevators, especially the third floor, arrive unbidden,
00:39:19: and cold spots linger where no draft should be.
00:39:22: Room 303 carries an especially uneasy reputation.
00:39:27: With this embodied laughter, the sharp scent of whiskey and shadowy presences said to
00:39:32: to haunt those who stay there. Whether it's Parker's eternal, or echoes of other restless
00:39:38: souls who checked in, but never fully checked out, the Parker House offers visitors a stay
00:39:44: where history doesn't just whisper. It occasionally walks the corridors at night. Perfect for those
00:39:51: who like the cream pie with a side of the paranormal.. And you guys find yourself tonight. Five
00:39:58: and trepid podcasters looking.
00:40:00: to make a name for themselves, to differentiate their podcast from many of the others, arrive
00:40:08: at the Omni
00:40:30: All right, you guys walk in what 11 now first off. How was that not Alex's character?
00:40:40: Exactly what we
00:40:43: Literally my entire the main podcaster is really trying to make a name for himself
00:40:54: And drove the company out of business
00:41:00: What's it play with business called first?
00:41:03: No, you can't use the real name.
00:41:07: You guys walk into the lobby.
00:41:09: The Omni Parker House, from the second you walk in, speaks of its opulent history.
00:41:19: The walls and ceiling are dark wood paneling, but not in a weird 70s sort of way.
00:41:26: It looks like money, and it looks like that history is, is written directly into the walls.
00:41:34: Old world luxury.
00:41:36: Old world world luxury is a good, or a good word for it, or a good way to see things.
00:41:39: You look to the left and there are pictures of old letters, old walls.
00:41:47: You guys walk up and there's an old lady at the front desk.
00:41:53: You get up to check in.
00:41:56: What's up, Toots?
00:41:57: Hello there.
00:41:58: Do you want us to introduce ourselves?
00:41:59: So, I don't know what it is.
00:42:01: I'm Tony DeMarco.

00:43:30: and I am the EMT of the group, Paramedic.
00:43:37: Actually I'll claim Par, Paramedic,
00:43:39: because that takes a little more skill.
00:43:44: Actually, I'll claim paramedic because that takes a little more skill.
00:43:50: And I am actually a somewhat rotund, short, not very handsome.
00:43:58: And definitely not a four-wife material.
00:44:02: I do.
00:44:03: I'm balding.
00:44:04: I wear a hat all the time to kind of hide it.
00:44:08: Why are you describing me?
00:44:12: Wow.
00:44:13: Your average height?
00:44:14: That escalated quickly.
00:44:15: Did you give the bankrupt your company too?
00:44:16: He's really playing against character this time.
00:44:20: Let's move on, it's almost eight o'clock and we haven't even started.
00:44:23: All right, all right.

00:45:14: Okay, well, all service jobs are real jobs.
00:45:17: Okay, I love the podcast, we're gonna take off.
00:45:19: Now it's your turn, Sam.
00:45:21: My name is Charles Briggs.

00:57:00: You can't hear anything.

00:58:28: I'm covering the entire camera.
00:58:29: All right, do you guys walk down the hall?
00:58:30: Who's the most attractive?
00:58:31: Yeah.
00:58:32: Yeah.
00:58:33: Yeah.
00:58:34: Yeah.

01:01:03: She's wearing a dress.
01:01:05: She's facing the window.
01:01:06: And out the window, you see Boston Common, which is the park in downtown Boston.
01:01:14: The one with the big sled?
01:01:16: The one with the big slide.
01:01:17: I like that park.

01:10:43: It opens inward.

01:11:19: Do I hear anything?
01:11:21: The more you pull the harder it gets.
01:11:24: You don't hear the sound of a tool chest falling downstairs.
01:11:26: I think you're trying to say hotter.
01:11:28: That's why I said hotter.

01:25:17: you know
01:25:19: i'm saying this in my mind
01:25:21: and you feel
01:25:24: her thoughts
01:25:26: It's almost like you were her, right before she died.
01:25:31: I knew I was a woman.
01:25:34: And you can feel your hand ringing this bell.
01:25:39: And you can feel...
01:25:41: I feel like I'm sitting in the chair.
01:25:42: Your desire to break the curse, to give a voice to those who never had
01:25:47: had a voice, and to name the dead who have never been named.
01:25:54: But as you do so...
01:25:55: We gotta figure out where the ghosts are.
01:25:56: You feel an overwhelming horror grip your body
01:26:03: You see and outline a silhouette in the
01:26:14: And the see that it's the body of a woman wearing a white
01:26:29: empty in white and she holds your throat and you can't breathe and you hold the
01:26:36: bell and you ring it and you ring it do we know all goes dark do we notice him
01:27:13: Oh my you're worried you're having a down boy Charlie. Are you all right? Are you having a heart cramps guys?
01:27:21: I'll never believe this, but everything that the host just said happened to me

01:27:32: These lines come to mind. All right guys. I just had these lines come to my mind
01:27:38: Where are the handles? No, I read that wrong
01:27:42: where the handless bell is lifted,
01:27:45: where the living drink and call.
01:27:49: Do not ring the iron tongue,
01:27:52: raise instead the mortal cup,
01:27:54: speak not rise, nor, nor come, nor where.
01:28:01: Wake, where?
01:28:02: Speak this and pass the hickey.
01:28:06: To those below heard, not called, named, not called.
01:28:09: I want a hickey.
01:28:12: Where the handless bell is lifted, where the living drink and call.
01:28:26: Nor come, nor wake.
01:28:28: Speak this and pass the hill to those below, and pass the hill to those below.
01:28:39: those below, heard, named, not claimed, sleeping still.
01:29:09: It's for the show look. I need this Tony
01:29:40: I quit.
01:29:42: He did, didn't he?
01:29:44: He found a laptop.
01:29:46: Yes! Which one? Is that one of three?
01:30:00: Well, fun fact it wasn't an accident he did on purpose.
01:30:02: I was trying to make a, I was trying to break him so he wouldn't work on our, on our trip.
01:30:06: It didn't work.
01:30:08: Uh, what.
01:30:09: What do I find in the closet?
01:30:11: You find in the closet?
01:30:12: I really did find a laptop?
01:30:13: Yeah.
01:30:14: Sweet dibs, I need this guys, I need this.
01:30:16: I need this.
01:30:17: I had to give you guys a laptop because you guys have never once tried to you use your cell phone.
01:30:22: Oh, I just kind of assumed we didn't have them because you're like phones. You only have this phone in this room
01:30:28: No, I didn't I open my I said the room phone, which is not usually event the modern times
01:30:33: Okay, I call my phone and I call the front desk when we play games. Hello, this's Tony is this
01:30:55: I Google it can we Google it. It's 2026 we can Google it you open Google open Google
01:31:26: Barbara you and I need to get down to some business you remember static on the
01:31:33: other end
01:31:34: Barbara Barbara I take out the MacBook I'm like oh finally they canceled my phone
01:31:46: now I can finally make calls again oh yeah what's your character's name I like
01:31:53: Ike lost his phone plan because he lost his job. Yeah, I ran out of money
01:31:58: All right, are you listening? Yeah, you hear the static on the other end
01:32:03: Is this that saying anything do not hear Barbara? What do I hear? You hear the creepy woman's voice again. I'm a creepy woman
01:32:10: It says all of your
01:32:41: One ring
01:32:43: I need you to roll for sanity. Oh, oh God. I'm speaking of a staticky phone
01:32:48: So I ever tell you guys my scariest one my scariest experience
01:32:53: Wasn't happy. Oh, wait. No eighty-four
01:32:57: D3 but I had to do the staticky phone. I was that story
01:33:05: You guys want to hear my staticky scary phone story. No, this is not your scenario?
01:33:10: scenario. Go ahead tell us your static. Okay, so I had this dog right
01:33:22: completely it had, had nothing to do with all the booze I drink. No, no, no. Okay, so one time
01:33:25: time I was coming back from a road trip. We've been down in St. George. I had ridden
01:33:31: down when I was hanging out with Abe, but we ended up, driving back separately because I
01:33:35: had to drive somebody else's car back. So I get back to our house, we're living in
01:33:39: sugar house and the sugar house house at the time.
01:33:43: I get back.
01:33:44: Nobody else is home.
01:33:45: Everybody else is gone for whatever reason. spe it.
01:33:47: It's still a lot of people living at home, but nobody else is home, nobody else is home.
01:33:49: It's just late.
01:33:50: I come walking in, it's all dark in the house, in the kitchen, just sitting in the kitchen, just sitting
01:34:09: right? It would also light up like if somebody was on one of the other extensions in the house
01:34:15: so you know if somebody else had said, so for those of you guys who never had a home phone
01:34:20: you'd have one phone line and people could pick up the phone and another room in the house and
01:34:24: you know it was all in the same phone so one of the extensions so if anybody was on a phone.
01:34:29: Anywhere else in the house I was on the same phone line then this phone the red light would light
01:34:33: up solid on this phone. When I get there it's just flashing which means we have a voicemail.,
01:34:39: and like, I'm just sitting there,
01:34:41: I haven't turned the lights on yet,
01:34:42: Nobody
01:34:43: And I'm like, yeah, I guess I'll go to get the voicemail a lot of times
01:34:47: I just ignore it because I
01:34:49: I didn't want to get somebody else's voicemail and then haveto tell him about it and have, you know, forget
01:34:52: So I'm like, alright, whatever. Anyways, I go and I pick up the phone
01:34:57: And it's just static when. I pick it up. It's just all
01:35:00: And I was like what the heck because you know, it should be a dial. Dial tone should pick it up
01:35:08: No dial tone, it's just static and I'm like, yeah
01:35:12: And I'm like, okay, what the heck?
01:35:15: And I'm just sitting there listening to static and just static for a second until suddenly
01:35:24: the static inhales.
01:35:27: Yeah I'm listening.
01:35:29: It's all that's all I was like, what the crap and I'm still listening and then I
01:35:42: go hello and it just goes quiet and the static stops goes dead silent and then
01:35:48: And it's spears up the light, the light goes off, there's no voicemail, the light didn't
01:36:05: light up solid, which means there wasn't anybody on any extension in the house, otherwise the light
01:36:10: would have lit up.
01:36:11: But yeah, the light goes away, there's nobody leaving a voicemail or anything, that was it,
01:36:16: There's nothing on it.
01:36:17: Nobody else in the house.
01:36:19: And yeah, and then I just hung up the phone
01:36:22: and I was like, okay.
01:36:24: And so then I went and sat in the corner of the kitchen
01:36:26: so nobody could sneak up on me
01:36:27: and waited there till I'd got home.
01:36:28: Ha ha ha ha.
01:36:30: Wait, the corner of the kitchen with the two windows?
01:36:32: Yeah, the corner of the kitchen with two windows.
01:36:33: Between the two windows?
01:36:34: Yeah, that's good.
01:36:35: I didn't know where else to go.
01:36:36: Ha ha ha.
01:36:37: And I didn't want to look away from the phone.
01:36:39: Yeah, that's pretty scary.
01:36:40: It was pretty scary.
01:36:41: It was definitely one of the scary things that's happened.
01:36:43: It was pretty nice.
01:36:44: How old were you?
01:36:45: I drove back, so I was 16 or 17, from St. George.
01:36:50: So, yeah, got back late.
01:36:52: We bent down, we were hanging out with Susie.
01:36:54: Susie's family down there.
01:36:55: Was I married?
01:36:58: It was this pre-marriage.
01:36:59: Was this when we went to Vegas?
01:37:00: Did you go to Vegas with us?
01:37:01: I don't know if this was when we went to Vegas.
01:37:03: So it was when we went down
01:37:03: and I got sick at that Mexican restaurant.
01:37:06: Do you remember that?
01:37:07: I had to drive the shit back.
01:37:08: Oh, that's when you got blast behind the tree.
01:37:10: No, that was not when I blasted behind the tree.
01:37:12: That was the other time I got sick
01:37:14: when I was hanging out with her.
01:37:15: I got sick like every time I hang out with that Mexican restaurant and one of Susie's brothers got hit in the arm with that
01:37:21: Chick that was one of the waitresses was carrying that like high chair and like cracked him in the head with it
01:37:28: Wait, are you talking about the date with sin when you threw up behind a tree?
01:37:31: No, it's not no it was not the blasting. That was right. This totally has no memory of this
01:37:37: It looks at you like you know, I do any idea how long you
01:37:42: I think we stayed at the ranch or something, but I was there for like an hour
01:37:47: Just I ended up having to drive since car back because her
01:37:51: Seat stopped working to move back and forth and she wasn't tall enough to
01:37:56: Reach the pedals to drive home so I had to drive her
01:38:00: Huh
01:38:01: Anyways, and Alex never left that chair. Yeah, and I'm still there anyways. That was pretty that was pretty spooky
01:38:08: That was my spooky phone
01:38:09: Yeah, that sounds creepy. Yeah, you just right guys. So if I remember correctly
01:38:13: Donovan just tried the coal the front desk. Yeah, and he had a spooky get spooky. Did the static breathe in on them?
01:38:22: Just like that. Yeah, but like in my story
01:38:26: Alex's guy whose name I also don't remember like I just found a laptop laptop guys. I found a laptop in here
01:38:33: We can move out of the way I got rush over. I put it on the bed right put on my lap as I sit on the bed
01:38:39: And I opened it up. It's a brand new Mac book guys and three and five and five. I mean
01:38:47: Yeah, I bet I could buy it if I paid the company
01:38:54: All right, what's your company back for that? Yeah
01:38:58: Benji can't come out of my paycheck though. All right me and Benji
01:39:02: We're looking at this.
01:39:04: Did you open the laptop?
01:39:07: Yeah, I opened the laptop.
01:39:08: Oh, never mind.
01:39:09: I'm not doing my thing.
01:39:10: A nice scoop.
01:39:11: I'm not even into it.
01:39:12: Okay, so we'll open the laptop.
01:39:15: What do you do now that the laptop's open?
01:39:17: It powers on.
01:39:18: It's a MacBook.
01:39:20: There are some icons.
01:39:22: I don't know.
01:39:23: Tell me what you want to do.
01:39:24: It looks like a MacBook.
01:39:25: I don't know.
01:39:26: Is there anything on it?
01:39:27: Like, are the people on it?
01:39:28: Yeah, roll a spot hit.
01:39:30: I don't know what that means.
01:39:31: I don't know what that means.
01:39:33: You can roll a spot hidden if you open it up.
01:39:35: Like a computer use.
01:39:36: Just trying to spot to see if there's any indication of who is.
01:39:40: Computer use skill.

01:46:15: Okay, let's see
01:46:17: Boston comment Boston comment from Gallows ground to public green
01:46:23: This is like some sort of like newspaper. I got a newspaper. Okay. There's a newspaper clipping here
01:46:28: It's like a photo of a newspaper clipping. Oh, there's the tree. This is it says from gallows ground to public green
01:46:33: Is the big headline and this deep a brief history of the common and the hard justice that once stood beneath its trees
01:46:42: There's a picture here. It looks like a big old tree out on the ground as much people stand around
01:46:48: Maybe there's like a gallows kind of is an arching kind of looks like a gallows and in the background you can see
01:46:55: So a Boston, a big steeple and it says view of the common showing the great
01:47:02: Elm and the gathering of onlookers
01:47:06: From an old print in the collection of the Massachusetts
01:47:10: Historical Society a ground for many uses
01:47:14: Long before it was laid out with walks and fences the common served the town in ways both practical and severe
01:47:23: It was a place of mustas and training, a pasture for cattle, a field for recreation, and, in
01:47:36: earlier times, a place where the law made its most public examples.
01:47:43: The Puritan colony believed that evil must be met with a firm and viable hand.
01:47:50: And the magistrates judged that crimes threatened the peace of the community.
01:47:58: They ordered punishments to be carried out before the people, not after the people.
01:48:06: Nowhere was this more often done than in the open ground of the common.
01:48:13: Justice in the open air.
01:48:16: from the key zoom in a little bit it's a little I'm struggling my eyes ain't what
01:48:24: they used to be no balls oh balls what did they used to be they used to be

01:48:43: Yes.
01:48:44: Yes.
01:48:45: Speaking of fat loads.
01:48:50: For those of you listening at home, Sam just randomly unbuttoned his shirt.
01:48:53: You'll see it on the camera, don't worry.
01:48:55: Those nakedness.
01:48:56: Just naked.
01:48:57: Well, I might need a Red Bull sooner than later.
01:49:00: Might need what?
01:49:01: A Red Bull sooner than later.
01:49:04: Okay, here we go, guys.
01:49:06: Justice in the open air.
01:49:08: Records from the 17th and 18th centuries tell of numerous executions, whippings, and public
01:49:15: penances held here.
01:49:17: The scaffold was typically set near the Great Elm, a landmark visible from many parts of
01:49:23: the town.
01:49:24: All their accounts placed public punishments and hangings on the common near the Great
01:49:29: Elm, though later improvements blurred the precise boundaries of the site, but was once
01:49:36: Remembered as the gallows ground has since been folded into the park's ordinary life
01:49:41: Lawns footpaths play yards and places where the city teaches itself to forget. So I said yards
01:49:49: Voices from the past
01:49:51: The execution drew great multitudes men stood upon
01:49:55: Wagons women in the windows and children lifted up that they might see
01:50:00: account of the of a Boston minister 1692 the people came in a throng and only from
01:50:06: boss not only from Boston but from the country to behold the judgment of the
01:50:11: law town record 1730 a changing landscape as the city grew so too did its sense of
01:50:19: what the commons should be trees were planted pass were laid out fences set
01:50:26: to order and places reserved for instruction, leisure, and public gathering.
01:50:36: By the 19th century, the memory of the scaffold had faded from many, though local historians
01:50:43: continued to note the old traditions.
01:50:45: The Great Elm itself was lost to a storm in 1876, its roots leaving only stories behind.
01:50:53: Today, the common, a place of rest and assembly, a great heart in the midst of the city, yet
01:51:00: beneath the grass and shade lies a reminder that Boston, like all towns, was shaped by
01:51:08: both mercy and severity.
01:51:11: A place of remembrance.
01:51:13: We walk where others once stood in fear.
01:51:16: We play where justice once commanded.
01:51:19: The common does not speak loudly of its past, but it keeps it in the ground, in the turning
01:51:25: of the wind, and in the quiet thoughtfulness of those who know the story.
01:51:30: To remember is not to dwell in sorrow, but to understand the road that brought us here.
01:51:40: Reference copy, local historical file.
01:51:42: Alright, so both of these are in her notes.
01:51:49: keep digging you find more notes they get more erratic the farther in you go
01:51:57: into the notes they seem a little unhinged but you find information indicating a
01:52:09: ritual and again you find the words at the end of the file the ritual begins
01:52:20: are the ritual states, house begins, grave names,
01:52:27: crier calls, witness answers, common condemns.
01:52:32: And as you read this again, you hear the bell ring.
01:52:37: The one by her finger rings.
01:52:39: One by her finger?
01:52:40: On its own.
01:52:41: Oh dang, that's scary.
01:52:45: It rings again.
01:52:48: And it rings again.
01:52:49: I think that's the crier calls.
01:52:51: I want you all to make a sanity check. Aw. Aw, dang. The bell is ringing? The bell is ringing again by itself. Not even a broken-fingered lady.
01:53:00: Finally, I succeeded at something. Oh, wait. Success.
01:53:05: Oh, what? 21.
01:53:07: 20 out of 63.
01:53:09: I failed. I failed so fast.
01:53:12: I look at all the guys and I say,
01:53:15: We have got to get out.
01:53:17: So whoever lost lose one penis in point of sanity, so I lose nothing
01:53:28: That's actually kind of freaked out by that and the bell rings again. Oh dang
01:53:34: I I like the bell rings again. Oh, I stop it
01:53:38: All right, you notice on the bell as you pick it up
01:53:43: There's an inscription on the underside guys. There's a clue
01:53:46: You didn't say cry or cry?
01:53:49: Hang on, I'm looking at the clue.
01:53:52: You guys, Nicholas cages you.
01:53:53: The house is rung.
01:53:55: Says under the bell, house has rung.
01:53:58: So this is the house.
01:53:59: The phone rings again.
01:54:00: The phone?
01:54:01: The phone?
01:54:02: The phone rings.
01:54:03: Yeah, pick it up.
01:54:04: There's another clue.
01:54:05: It says house keeping.
01:54:06: Okay.
01:54:07: The light is dead.
01:54:16: Okay.
01:54:17: Thank you.
01:54:18: Oh.
01:54:19: That's not going to be the only thing that's dead.
01:54:20: If we don't stop this ritual, guys, I mean if we don't stop this ritual
01:54:25: Oh guys, there's gonna be other things that are dead.
01:54:28: Nicholas Cage, listen to this.
01:54:30: Give me your clues.
01:54:31: It says the stone is small, but the owner is revered.
01:54:36: Find a sentry who warned the living
01:54:39: and pay the dead to warn you now.
01:54:41: This is Paul Revere.
01:54:42: One coin for the grave, one name for the hill.
01:54:48: Yeah, you're right.
01:54:49: This is Paul Revere.
01:54:50: He's the revered one who warned the living.
01:54:52: So we have to find a small stone
01:54:54: I go can I go dig in the dirt the grave dirt for looking for a small stone you can I look
01:55:00: So Tony goes and digs in the buttholder. What are the rest of you doing?
01:55:07: Anybody want to help me dig the skull had a clue on it, right? Yes
01:55:12: Yes, it was the ah
01:55:14: What did it say names now grave names, so we found house
01:55:19: Wait for grave names and cry across
01:55:21: cause, cause, right?
01:55:23: Right, we haven't found that one yet.
01:55:25: Okay, house begins.
01:55:26: Yeah, you had that with the bell already.
01:55:28: Good job.
01:55:30: And then the grave names.
01:55:31: The skull.
01:55:32: That's the skull, good.
01:55:33: The crier calls.
01:55:35: I don't know which one that would be.
01:55:36: I think it's the eyeball, but...
01:55:38: We don't know what it is.
01:55:39: Witness answers.
01:55:40: Are you the witness now?
01:55:41: You answered the phone.
01:55:42: Oh, I don't know.
01:55:43: No, I think the witness is the eye
01:55:44: because it's witnessing something, an eyewitness.
01:55:47: But a lot of these clues
01:55:48: haven't meant what they seem to mean.
01:55:50: We need to look around.
01:55:52: Okay, I look around.
01:55:55: Do I find anything in the dirt? You don't find anything in the dirt. Okay, I check her eyeballs.
01:55:59: Does it say cry her calls?
01:56:02: You pop her eyeball out? Does it say witness answers? I dare you to touch her.
01:56:06: Put your arm on her shoulder. Calm and condemn. That's the tree. We got that. We got the tree.
01:56:11: Yeah, that's what we need these two. All right, I think the witness is gonna be the eye.
01:56:15: Which one is that? The witness? Yeah, cuz it's an eye witness. I want two or three or four or five. What?
01:56:20: Is it four or five?
01:56:21: It's right before the three.
01:56:22: It's four.
01:56:23: All right, so what's the middle one?
01:56:24: Okay.
01:56:25: Cryer.
01:56:27: Cryer calls.
01:56:28: Look at all your clues.
01:56:29: Look at this.
01:56:30: Look at all your clues.
01:56:31: Guys, look at all your clues.
01:56:32: The cryer calls.
01:56:33: The dead below.
01:56:36: Where the handless bell is lifted.
01:56:40: Where the living drink and call.
01:56:42: Do not ring the iron tongue.
01:56:44: Raise instead the mortal cup.
01:56:47: Speak not rise nor come nor wake.
01:56:50: Speak this and pass the hill.
01:56:53: To those below, heard not called,
01:56:56: named not claimed, sleeping still.
01:56:59: What's the hill?
01:57:01: Your butthole.
01:57:02: No.
01:57:03: Is that where the-
01:57:04: It's my butthole.
01:57:05: It's not my butthole.
01:57:05: It's like an inverse hill.
01:57:07: Tony Mark DeMarco does not say it.
01:57:10: Do you want all those to get
01:57:12: whatever you found in the dirt,
01:57:14: to find the skull?
01:57:15: No, I didn't dig into the dirt.
01:57:17: I don't remember how I got this.
01:57:19: How did uh, what's your name?
01:57:21: Raisin stood where the living drink and call where is a where does a living call and drink?
01:57:28: Ruben in that bar is that a tavern? I
01:57:31: Doesn't look like it does. It looks like a house. That's a tavern
01:57:35: It's not a tavern as a booze house put it in
01:57:39: I'm not putting it in remember where
01:57:43: Get out of here. Hey, do you guys remember I got this you guys remember where Ruben got his clue?
01:57:49: from the phone
01:57:51: Is that why I got this?
01:57:52: Were you talking on the phone?
01:57:53: What's the clue that you have?
01:57:54: Uh, what holds the dead below
01:57:56: must be held by the living lock
01:57:58: Yeah, I think you got that from the phone
01:58:00: I got mine when I was possessed by a deadly ghost
01:58:02: Yeah, you got possessed by a deadly ghost
01:58:04: I try the lock again
01:58:05: You try the lock again?
01:58:06: Yeah, I'll check, right?
01:58:07: I went in right after I grabbed the ample of blood
01:58:09: I threw it on him
01:58:10: Tavern, I
01:58:12: Must be held by the living
01:58:13: It doesn't open, it holds the dead
01:58:15: Roll for sanity on him
01:58:17: Roll for pal
01:58:18: That was me. I put it in
01:58:22: Wait, oh you just put it in okay, so I think we got to hold some dirt in our hand
01:58:28: It says what holds the dead below must be held by the living above
01:58:32: So maybe we got to hold some dirt in a hand take the iron should we ought to put some in our pockets?
01:58:36: Yeah, I'll catch that and put it in a bag. Wait, what?
01:58:41: Are you gonna hold the right there? I handed some dirt to everyone and put in we all put it in our pockets
01:58:45: Okay, are you gonna open it again? Try it again Donovan. I mean Tony. Oh, Tony you lose a sanity point because you failed your pile
01:58:54: Would you like someone else to try it since you're going into the bunkers?
01:58:59: All right, are we gonna change the symbols or do we go again?
01:59:02: Take the iron.
01:59:05: So where there was a skull, why did the house, what are you thinking about?
01:59:09: Like a tavern where they drink in and call in the shots the shot colors. I thought it was a clue
01:59:17: Do we want to try the like bell tower
01:59:20: Yeah
01:59:21: Guys, I think witnesses. Do you want me to give you a hint? No get out of here ghost
01:59:26: Wait, I think the witnesses cry because they see people hanging. I
01:59:31: Wouldn't try to laugh
01:59:33: Well, what, jeez, read the answer of things again.
01:59:36: Yeah,, change the house for a steeple.
01:59:38: House begins, grave names, cryocalls,
01:59:41: witness answers, common condemns.
01:59:45: Everyone read your clues again.
01:59:46: I made it.
01:59:47: I made it.
01:59:48: There you go.
01:59:50: Here's your clue.
01:59:51: Pete, I want to look around the room
01:59:52: and see if there's any like stones
01:59:55: or alcohol bottles or...
02:00:00: Um
02:00:04: Give me a spy head in that in
02:00:10: 55
02:00:13: 38 success. Yes
02:00:16: You don't find anything
02:00:18: No, there's nothing. No, no, no booze on the desk on floor opening. So we open the wrong floor
02:00:24: get out of here Sam like out of auto you look oh that's it that's an idea around
02:00:31: and you see the window has shifted again it no longer shows the common does it
02:00:38: show a hill skinny max it shows here on the side that's why King's Chapel which
02:00:45: actually is next door well we can see the window you're looking can I climb
02:00:51: through the window you're gonna open the window no so the window isn't open it
02:00:56: just it's close you can just see out the window can I see us a headstone out the
02:01:01: window yeah in the chapel you do see a crypt in King's Chapel and there seems
02:01:10: to be a glowing almost like a keyhole so in your out the window in King's
02:01:20: chapel what you see is the graveyard and you see a cement crypt or a concrete
02:01:28: crypt it has two walls and it has basically a ceiling it's not a pitched
02:01:35: roof it's flat yeah but there's a keyhole that's glowing in it you need to
02:01:40: get a key from the suitcase what's the name on the tombstone there isn't one
02:01:46: What happens if we open the window it opens there's no ghosts escape you hear
02:01:53: the sound of traffic below
02:01:56: Yell at the traffic you hear the sound of John Cusack going
02:02:03: And he falls past you can we win can we open the window I know that how this ends
02:02:07: Let's light the room on fire. Yeah, you can open the window. I want to open the window
02:02:11: The window opens. You hear the sound of traffic below you and you're on Q-Sack
02:02:17: Oh, but do I see a crypt thing with the no key. That's a good point. You open the
02:02:27: window and you see the outside just the regular outside out the woods like
02:02:34: modern times yeah can you put up the other clue that we found on the thing
02:02:37: which one I climbed down the side of the building but I was reading the ladies I
02:02:43: believe I didn't want I believe about the warden yeah he became spider no but we
02:02:50: found the skull in the dirt you just started digging in it was there I was
02:02:54: digging yeah nice in the bone dirt and there was a skull in there what if we
02:02:58: offer some blood to the dirt yeah do it yeah go do it all right I go in to the
02:03:05: bathroom and make a small cut in my hand with my scalpel in my EMT bag you didn't
02:03:11: have to do that dirty pocket and I squeeze a little bit of blood into the
02:03:15: dirt take one point of damage it was a really tiny fine no damage nothing
02:03:22: happens though pay the dead to warn you now let's bury the lady some money I
02:03:29: don't have any obvious all right guys look at this one I believe the hotel
02:03:34: our partition to be apparition to be a parasite upon the working right and they
02:03:41: go I'm guessing they're talking about like the servant class with the hotel
02:03:45: right before I'm right every guest that member can be wrong serving class the
02:03:52: servant class the people that the that's a reasonable conclusion okay now I
02:03:56: just want you to put your other clue together though my first one no the
02:04:01: other one that you found in her notes yes that's the common one right the
02:04:14: map the memory can be reason so none of us have tried ringing the bell
02:04:18: ourselves have we maybe we can ring it and ask questions that's why she had to
02:04:24: I ring the bell.
02:04:28: You ring the bell?
02:04:29: Yes.
02:04:30: Hello?
02:04:31: Hello?
02:04:32: Hello?
02:04:35: This thing's broken.
02:04:38: The bell becomes cold.
02:04:40: The bell becomes cold, but the underside becomes hot.
02:04:46: So same thing like that happened to the door.
02:04:47: The top of the bell is cold, the underside is hot.
02:04:51: There's something on the underside that feels hot.
02:04:53: Look at it.
02:04:54: I don't do, but I thought we already left under the bell.
02:04:56: No, we're looking for a freaking bell under the bell.
02:04:58: Am I saved by it?
02:05:00: You're saved by the bell.
02:05:01: He just disappears.
02:05:04: On the underside of the bell,
02:05:07: I thought we already left under the bell.
02:05:07: There are the words that say house has run.
02:05:10: Yeah, we already got that clue.
02:05:11: The word house is glowing.
02:05:13: It is hot to the touch.
02:05:15: Okay, so the ritual has begun
02:05:17: and it starts with the bell.
02:05:19: So the second part of the ritual has to be the scroll.
02:05:21: The word house is glowing
02:05:23: and it's hot to the touch.
02:05:25: No, that's...
02:05:27: That's a house.
02:05:29: House begins.
02:05:31: House begins?
02:05:32: No, no, no, no.
02:05:33: We opened the case.
02:05:34: Okay, so right now you have house,
02:05:36: house, bell, skull, eyeball, tree.
02:05:40: What's the second one?
02:05:41: Grave name, so that would be skull.
02:05:43: Skull.
02:05:44: Yeah, that's boy.
02:05:45: Yeah, that's boy.
02:05:45: House crawls, or cryocalls.
02:05:48: Yeah.
02:05:48: So the bell.
02:05:49: That's what we had before.
02:05:50: When I win this.
02:05:51: Then we lost.
02:05:52: So now you have them in this order on the case.
02:05:54: That house.
02:05:55: House.
02:05:56: Skull.
02:05:57: Bell.
02:05:58: Eye.
02:05:59: Tree.
02:06:00: Do you click it open?
02:06:01: I click it open.
02:06:03: The case opens.
02:06:04: I saw this!
02:06:05: Oh!
02:06:06: Inside the case, there is a mirror.
02:06:11: Aw, thanks.
02:06:12: It's a hand mirror.
02:06:13: I look at it because I'm handsome.
02:06:14: I look at it.
02:06:15: The mirror is vibrating ever so slightly.
02:06:19: I'll say show me the beast
02:06:23: You look in the mirror and you say show me the beast no to me the mirror
02:06:28: Shows you all over here
02:06:30: The Omni Parker house. Oh, dang
02:06:33: It shows you King's Chapel graveyard. Oh, thank it shows you the hand-in-bell tavern
02:06:40: the oldest tavern in
02:06:43: the country
02:06:44: It shows you Fanuel Hall. Oh, dang, and then it shows you Boston Common
02:06:49: Aw, dang.
02:06:51: The mirror...
02:06:53: So showing us everything the window shows us.
02:06:56: Aw, dang.
02:06:58: It begins vibrating again.
02:06:59: Hello?
02:07:00: Aw, dang.
02:07:01: Showing us murder sites.
02:07:02: Alright, so we can ask it to show us some stuff, but...
02:07:04: Show me the beast.
02:07:06: That's what it just showed us.
02:07:07: It shows you the same thing again.
02:07:09: Aw, speak, not rise, nor come, nor wake.
02:07:14: Who's the warden?
02:07:15: Show us the warden.
02:07:16: Speak this and pass the hill.
02:07:17: Show us the warden.
02:07:18: Warden where the handless bell is lifted with a living drink and we give me that
02:07:22: ring list again what it was showing raise instead the more it's got cool
02:07:28: the image of them of the Amir is black and inside it you see sights that are
02:07:34: familiar to you from Boston I tell it to show us the warden the warden appears
02:07:41: it is the woman with the black hair and the white slip of a dress the one
02:07:47: You saw the hallway. Yeah, that's the one dibs you get I forgot my old voice
02:07:51: You have to make a pow check when you see her in the mirror. Yes, you are locked eyes with her. Oh
02:07:58: My gosh, these guys are terrible. I'm real. I rolled an 87. Don't worry. Roll a d3. The ritual has started
02:08:08: We're running out of time I rolled a three
02:08:11: me lose three sanity unless you rolled an actual three than lose two god dang you guys
02:08:20: are losing a lot of sanity here yeah all right let's oh this is I only rewashed one
02:08:24: so far what were the things we saw in the mirror when at first you saw the Omni Parker
02:08:33: house. You saw King's Chapel graveyard. You saw that bell in hand tavern. You saw
02:08:43: Fanuel Hall. And then you saw Boston Common. Fanuel, what is that? And you see the
02:08:50: great tree in Boston Common. It's glowing. Which one has to do with power of air?
02:08:55: and then the warden comes back on the mirror and she says break the mirror she
02:09:04: says how no I'll do that don't do that that's bad no she's bad I'm like set me
02:09:09: free oh that's all she wants oh yeah what are we gonna are you in prison if we
02:09:15: do that what do we get break the mirror well what do we get if we do that I
02:09:19: don't think we want to break the mirror are we getting all sun camera no I'm
02:09:26: I mean, like in the real life.
02:09:28: Well, yeah, you're filming, remember?
02:09:30: OK, hey, wait.
02:09:31: Can you say that again?
02:09:32: Hang on, I'll hold up to the camera.
02:09:36: She does this.
02:09:38: Oh, nice.
02:09:39: You got that?
02:09:40: That's this is going to be great.
02:09:41: We're going to make so much money.
02:09:43: Find me, guys.
02:09:44: I'll finally make it.
02:09:45: I'll have a job again.
02:09:46: Should we set it free?
02:09:47: What do you guys think?
02:09:48: I think she's pretty trustworthy.
02:09:49: Is she hot?
02:09:50: She's going to suck us all over.
02:09:52: She's going to ask the right thing.
02:09:53: Because it's the room.
02:09:55: You start to notice the room is getting hotter shrinks. Oh show me the key
02:10:00: Oh, dang. I hand you the mirror. Oh, dang
02:10:03: He did you say show me the key? Yeah
02:10:07: several images flash
02:10:10: You see blood
02:10:13: You see I'm trying to think of how to describe these different things. Okay
02:10:19: Well blood is red. You see blood
02:10:22: You see a
02:10:25: memory a memory that is
02:10:29: Is important to you so?
02:10:31: Use your imagination your character would know what I meant you see a
02:10:39: Deadly ghost we already saw she says
02:10:44: The key is the offering
02:10:47: So I I see blood I see a memory and I hear she says the key is the offering the room is getting hotter
02:10:59: Guys we can go to the door see if it opens. I open the door check off make sure the door won't open
02:11:05: You hear slamming against the outside of the door good
02:11:08: I look for the people I try to scoop
02:11:11: You see she you see the go or the warden at the people
02:11:16: And she rushes to the door and slams into it how much the door
02:11:24: Gets white-hot I want you to take one point of damage
02:11:29: I try to scoop break the mirror try to scoop the dead lady into the case. I'm your dad's
02:11:34: Do not let them break the mirror talking about saying the right words throw down the window
02:11:41: Do you really throw the mirror out the window? Can I?
02:11:47: Where to win the game?
02:11:50: We all get dirt and put it in our pockets. Oh, hold on
02:11:53: I went around and distributed dirt not of our pockets read that clue
02:11:57: This one says what holds the dead below must be held by the living above
02:12:03: Take the iron leave the weight
02:12:06: Blood, breath, spirit, fortune, warmth, reflection.
02:12:12: Choose one for the earth to accept
02:12:14: and the living to lose.
02:12:16: The mirror goes blank and then you see on the mirror,
02:12:19: it says, I open only when broken.
02:12:24: So what can we, is there anything else in the briefcase?
02:12:27: What holds the dead below, that's dirt.
02:12:30: So we all have, must be held by the living above.
02:12:33: So we all have our dirt.
02:12:34: What are the things that have to be given
02:12:34: to the living, to the dead?
02:12:36: Blood, breath, spirit, fortune, warmth, or reflection.
02:12:39: High fart on the mirror.
02:12:41: Butt breath.
02:12:42: Did the butt breath work?
02:12:43: No.
02:12:46: Take the iron.
02:12:47: The room begins to shake.
02:12:50: It almost feels like there's an earthquake.
02:12:53: But when you look outside the window,
02:12:57: everything outside seems normal.
02:12:59: Is there a ladder outside?
02:13:00: You hear a scream.
02:13:03: You hear the bell.
02:13:05: And the bell is getting louder and louder, as the room is shaking.
02:13:10: Louder and louder.
02:13:13: I want you all to make a pow check.
02:13:29: If you fail, take three sanities.
02:13:37: The bell is getting louder.
02:13:42: In the mirror.
02:13:44: You bury the bell on the dirt.
02:13:53: You now hear the slamming against the door.
02:13:55: Repeatedly.
02:13:58: It's getting louder and louder.
02:14:00: As the room continues to shake.
02:14:03: And the bell continues.
02:14:05: I put my breath on the mirror.
02:14:09: See if someone wrote on the mirror.
02:14:11: Give it to me.
02:14:12: I'm gonna break it.
02:14:14: I'm the only one to say it because I don't work.
02:14:16: Break the break the bell break the chains
02:14:21: Bell we free the warden can I put a hot mist on the with my breath on the mirror?
02:14:25: Yeah, if we break the mirror free the war I do it doesn't mean break something else though
02:14:29: I open this landing is getting louder and louder and the bell is getting louder
02:14:35: Your ears are starting to bleed not trying to breath first what breathe on it
02:14:43: You breathe on it and it
02:14:45: Uh, fogs over the mirror and then you see like a finger writing in the fog.
02:14:50: I don't need your breath.
02:14:51: It says, I open only when broken.
02:14:54: I hand it to me.
02:14:55: Let me see it.
02:14:56: What else?
02:14:57: Hold on.
02:14:58: What else do we need?
02:14:59: What else can we pay with this?
02:15:00: I'm going to put my warm up on it.
02:15:01: Let me see it.
02:15:02: Put it down my pants.
02:15:03: Oh my God.
02:15:04: Okay.
02:15:05: Let me see it.
02:15:06: I give it the mirror to him.
02:15:07: Reflection.
02:15:08: Okay.
02:15:09: I'm going to warm it up.
02:15:10: I break it.
02:15:11: All right.
02:15:12: I break the mirror.
02:15:13: Nice man.
02:15:14: What are you doing?
02:15:15: into pieces and on one shard you see a house and on another shard you see a
02:15:20: skull and on another shard though you see a bell and on another shard you see an
02:15:26: eye and on the last shard you see a tree. Everything goes silent. I climbed
02:15:31: through the meadow and escaped. The slamming against the door, the
02:15:38: slamming against the door stops. The bell ceases to ring. The shaking
02:15:44: Everything also stops.
02:15:47: And everything feels silent and calm.
02:15:51: And the door opens.
02:15:52: Ah, dang.
02:15:53: I did it.
02:15:54: I solved the mystery, guys.
02:15:55: I stole the declaration of independence.
02:15:58: You feel at peace.
02:16:01: You have solved the mystery.
02:16:04: You have escaped the room.
02:16:07: And for a minute, you feel safe.
02:16:09: I was out.
02:16:10: But then the phone rings.
02:16:12: Wrong, guys.
02:16:13: We don't answer it.
02:16:14: Don't go back in.
02:16:16: Wait, hold on, this time I put a chair in the door
02:16:19: so it can't close.
02:16:21: Okay.
02:16:21: I go back in and I answer the phone.
02:16:23: Housekeeping?
02:16:24: The phone says...
02:16:28: Hang on.
02:16:29: Hello?
02:16:30: This is one of those things where I...
02:16:31: Nobody look.
02:16:32: Hello?
02:16:33: Stop looking.
02:16:34: Stop looking, Sam.
02:16:34: Stop looking at the clues.
02:16:35: Penalty card rules.
02:16:36: Anyone there?
02:16:39: Hang on.
02:16:40: Hello?
02:16:40: Yeah, just a second.
02:16:42: Oh, jeez.
02:16:47: All right, you break the mirror or you pick up the phone, and the warden says, what does
02:17:13: I mean in layman's terms?
02:17:15: Check the map.
02:17:17: What map?
02:17:19: Congratulations, you guys have completed Act One of our Halloween special.
02:17:26: Oh!
02:17:27: Can we start Act 2?
02:17:28: If you would like, but the Act 2 requires us to leave the hotel room and to find these
02:17:34: locations throughout Boston.
02:17:35: Oh, so we got to get out the lapel mics?
02:17:37: Are you guys ready to go?
02:17:38: Oh, yeah.
02:17:39: Oh, yeah.
02:17:40: I might need a really...
02:17:41: If we are leaving, I want to get a history of monsters.
02:17:53: Congratulations!
02:17:55: You've completed the first stop on our historic Boston walking tour.
02:18:00: We hope you enjoyed your visit to the Omni Parker House.
02:18:05: Please note that Footsteps Through History is not responsible for lost belongings, personal
02:18:11: injuries, unexplained disappearances, psychological trauma, or fatalities resulting from encounters
02:18:18: with former hotel guests.
02:18:22: Your tour experience has been upgraded.
02:18:25: Oh, wonderful!
02:18:27: Well, isn't that exciting? As we continue our journey through Boston, you'll encounter
02:18:44: several fascinating historic locations, including the Granary Burying Ground, the King's Chapel
02:18:51: burying ground, and the legendary bell-in-hand tavern. Boston's history is positively overwhelming
02:18:59: with remarkable people, thrilling events, and buried secrets.
02:19:07: Of course, Boston's burial grounds are particularly noteworthy. Thousands of people from centuries
02:19:13: past, rest beneath the city's...
02:19:15: The house has run.
02:19:18: Hello? Excuse me?
02:19:20: This is a pre-recorded tour.
02:19:22: The hill must not answer.
02:19:26: Right. Well, that's not in the script.
02:19:30: Next stop, stop, stop.
02:19:32: Historic downtown Boston.
02:19:34: Please mind the traffic, watch your step,
02:19:37: and avoid any suspicious-looking historical figures
02:19:40: who appear to have been deceased for more than a century.
02:19:43: That's how it's fun!
02:19:45: Enjoy your walk!
02:20:44: Doric, downtown Boston.

Act II
00:00:00: You guys break the mirror.
00:00:02: The room exhales.
00:00:04: Not like a place where something is ended, like a place that has finally passed its burden on.
00:00:10: The cracked mirror lies in pieces across the carpet, but none of the shards reflect you anymore.
00:00:16: Each one shows a different part of Boston.
00:00:19: A tavern crowded with raised glasses, a burial ground packed and with leaning stones, a
00:00:25: A hall full of silent faces, an old graveyard where the earth holds its breath, and the
00:00:32: dark green shape of the common.
00:00:35: The map beneath the glass unfolds by itself, the ink is wet, its red lines pulse faintly
00:00:44: like veins under old skin.
00:00:47: Behind you Dr. March's corpse moves for the first time, not much, just enough for her
00:00:53: broken hand to point at the map.
00:00:56: Then the hotel ghost, the warden, the hotel ghost, the warden speaks from every reflective
00:01:05: the house has rung. The cracked handbell on the desk trembles but does not sound.
00:01:11: The dead heard
00:01:15: it. Outside the window somewhere far below, Boston continues as if nothing has changed.
00:01:19: Traffic, laughter, footsteps, the ordinary machinery of the living city. But now you can
00:01:26: feel something beneath it. Something listening under the streets. The ghost's voice thins to
00:01:32: to a whisper.
00:01:34: Drink and you may pass.
00:01:36: Honor and one will stand.
00:01:38: Speak and they may hear.
00:01:41: Berry and the earth may close.
00:01:44: One by one, the marks on the map darken.
00:01:46: The tavern of the bell.
00:01:48: The field of forgotten names.
00:01:51: The hall of witnesses, the old ground of the first sleepers.
00:01:56: And beyond all of them, Hangman's Hill.
00:01:59: The door unlocks with a soft click.
00:02:02: Now, since you answered, the hallway beyond is real.
00:02:06: Then, from somewhere under Boston Common,
00:02:08: and possibly distant, and possibly close,
00:02:11: you hear the answer to the hotel bell.
00:02:15: One low toll beneath the earth.
00:02:18: The ghost says, choose quickly.
00:02:21: The city is beginning to wake.
00:02:24: All right, and now I'm going to need all of you to get up,
00:02:26: because for the first time in Arkham Files,
00:02:30: You guys have to actually leave the gaming table
00:02:33: and come with me to find the locations on the map.
00:02:36: Ah, that's wicked.
00:02:38: Wicked?
00:02:45: There's we are just sitting in the lobby
00:02:47: of the on the Parker house with our clues.
00:02:50: Oh no, it's not.
00:02:51: Getting ready to head out into Boston
00:02:54: and figure out where the different locations.
00:02:57: It's a Parker house or mine.
00:02:58: So, Alex, if you'd be willing to describe our map
00:03:02: that you received from the ghost.
00:03:04: Okay, so I got a map says the last bell Boston route in the center is a big house, a big building called the house of passing names.
00:03:15: There's a legend down here, house of passing names field of the fathers, which is a skull.
00:03:22: There's a grave spike for the old ground burial pit or the ground burial pin,
00:03:28: pin, which is called the old ground of the first sleeper, the southwest of the big building.
00:03:35: The field of the fathers is directly south.
00:03:38: There's another trail leading off to the northeast, the hall of witnesses, which is a circle
00:03:46: with an open eye
00:03:50: to the north.
00:03:53: up on school street, it looks like.
00:03:56: Then way down to the west and a little south
00:03:58: is Hangmans Hill, which is in the
00:04:01: middle of this big park to the west of us.
00:04:04: I'm assuming we're in the center here
00:04:05: at the House of Passing Names.
00:04:08: And so we need to go out.
00:04:12: Yeah, we need to figure out where we're going
00:04:14: and we have to visit.
00:04:17: Oh, I take all the broken mirror shards with us.med.
00:05:00: it. Yes, yes. But that's the house of passing names. Okay, so each one of these I think has
00:05:06: to go for a different place that we're going. All right, so we got to get we got to complete
00:05:13: this before the ritual finishes, or else we're all going to end up like you die, like Professor
00:05:19: Mosh, die, gruesome death, die, gruesome death. Yeah, I mean, I feel like you figured
00:05:34: the bell the tavern the tavern of the bell is like this definitely makes sense that's
00:05:40: the bell and hand tab oh he I said you that one could be the green tavern right
00:05:44: or the green dragon I mean yes it's the bell and hand
00:06:06: But you guys have solved the story of your owner is aware as Paul Revere find
00:06:14: this century who warned the living and pay the debt to warn you now one point
00:06:19: for the grave one name for the hill for this is clearly Paul Revere gave you
00:06:24: guys okay hang on but there are clues that exist within like the pollings
00:06:28: themselves right yeah that's what I'm trying to tell you where they are okay
00:06:31: so one about handles the bell is speated this is definitely
00:06:35: the the
00:06:36: That's the green tab around the bell is the bell and hand taverns. We know this one
00:06:40: We know that one's Paul Revere area, right? Yeah, so this is probably gonna be Paul Revere's grave
00:06:46: We got to get to where the Paul Revere is buried.
00:06:48: Barry.
00:06:49: So- I forgot to mention,
00:06:53: inside the case,
00:06:55: there were coins.
00:06:56: Oh.
00:06:57: Oh boy, coins.
00:06:59: Money, money, money, money.
00:07:01: It's just pocket change so we can pay for parking.
00:07:04: I think we need to go in this house.
00:07:08: I think he's buried in this house.
00:07:09: I think we need to go where he's buried.
00:07:11: No.
00:07:13: No.
00:07:15: No, we went to his house and went to the square where was he making all the noise we need to, I'm talking about you
00:07:23: I'm pretty sure we need to go to his grave
00:07:28: The granary burying yeah
00:07:31: We need to go to power beer is buried at the granary burial ground that's where we're going that doesn't open till 11
00:07:39: Tavern doesn't open until we got the bell in hand up here, the north
00:07:43: So what's off here to the east and what's the whole of witnesses wait old ground of the first sleepers the
00:08:20: Good luck.
00:08:21: I'm a boxer.
00:08:22: What's going on?
00:08:52: so that
00:09:20: That's right.
00:09:22: This is the only one I'm not sure about
00:09:23: is this hall of witnesses.
00:09:25: The only thing we clue for that-one.
00:09:27: Maybe this one is really to kill.
00:09:29: Is it this one, dude?
00:09:31: Dr. March's notes.
00:09:34: Is this the clue for the witness?
00:09:35: Cause it says they do not rise merely to kill,
00:09:38: they rise to be with it.
00:09:39: On the Boston Commons in the other direction.
00:09:41: I mean, I mean, this might be a spot
00:09:44: for a, a good role of some kind.
00:09:47: Idea role.
00:09:48: Maybe not an idea, but I guess we are history maybe a history. Yeah, that's a good idea
00:09:55: Okay, let me see. I am the public story. I guess we are local
00:10:00: Hold on I got I got five in history. I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna eat 46. That's a regular success on history
00:10:09: Who's rolling? You are the story. I got a story on history. Okay
00:10:14: Yeah, I got a regular success regular. Regular success on history. All right, right? I could spend six the lock and get a hard
00:10:21: So it's so what you're looking for a lot a lot you're looking for something in the east that could be the Hall of Witnesses
00:10:26: It's east. It's east of the pocket-house.
00:10:42: It's long been associated with public meetings, political arguments, merchants, crowds, and
00:10:58: civic memory.
00:10:59: If the dead want to witness not merely eyes, but testimony, the new hall is the place where Boston's voices would gather
00:11:17: So Boston Common is in the opposite direction of everything else. So the test and then head back this way
00:11:25: Is there a wicked good, uh, thunders of a wicked good breakfast?
00:11:33: I will save you some time.
00:11:36: Boston Common is the last place you're gonna want to go.
00:11:39: Okay, well, we don't go that way then.
00:11:41: Well, we'll do it last.
00:11:42: King's Chapel is definitely first. It's right next door.
00:11:44: Yeah, okay.
00:11:45: Is there a whiz college here?
00:11:46: We can go to Boston Common and then you guys will meet a grue and you won't be able to go any farther.
00:11:52: Alright, so then we do the granary bearing ground on the way to Boston Common.
00:12:33: We're not looking, we'll close our eyes.
00:12:36: All right, we'll just enter in
00:12:37: the King's Chapel Barrier in
00:12:37: You guys step in to King's Chapel.
00:12:59: It, that one right there in the middle.
00:13:02: I think it's the one with like stuff that'll have clues in there.
00:13:08: By the way, no stuff.
00:13:10: I'm guessing Pete took stuff that was already written on things and used that as part of his scenario.
00:13:15: So for those of you at
00:13:16: at home who haven't been to King's Chapel graveyard.
00:13:21: This is looks like every graveyard from a horror movie you've ever seen.
00:13:32: Like every Halloween decoration ever made was based on these graves, right?
00:13:36: Yeah.
00:13:37: They're crazy.
00:13:38: the like the head stone shape. Yeah. I'm gonna go look at that. Like a one inch thick. Yeah. Like a couple of inch thick. There's like
00:13:45: all of them. All of them. All of them. Let's go look at that thing. You're historian. You read well.
00:13:51: I'm gonna roll some dice on that. Okay let's do it. Let's roll some dice on
00:13:54: graves. Grave. Let's say rubbing. You shouldn't have gone on the grass. We
00:14:10: rub some graves in our day. Sam no grave rubbing. No even
00:14:17: older. This fence was here before America got here. Yeah. I mean, these graves are older than
00:14:25: these trees. Well, some of these graves are older than our country, dude. Wild. The ice
00:14:34: king, the castle captain, the she merchants. You're a she merchant, aren't you? No. Tony
00:14:48: I mean we're all friends here. I'm not I'm telling you. I'm not a do I'm not a
00:14:52: Chee-Murch. If you want to be like 16 78 that that one's even alright. If you want to be a Chee-Mail
00:14:57: I don't want to be I'm not a seamstress. I don't want to the monster doesn't want to be a Chee-Murch.
00:15:08: Okay, look an old problem with that. Listen Harmon. I don't want to be a Cheye-
00:15:12: I'm not in Charles.
00:15:13: Whatever.
00:15:14: Okay.
00:15:15: I feel like you don't know me, I don't know me, I don't know me, I don't, I don't know
00:15:39: It's like your butthole, it's a dude, you're talking about a dude.
00:15:53: You clearly don't know what a stand-web man look like.
00:15:56: I know like you thought, you just think those were just like silly caricatures of the gravestone.
00:16:02: They were just more historically accurate than they were aware of.
00:16:09: Here lies the body of Mary, wife to John Wyncombe, deceased, look how like deceased, this is
00:16:18: like we're into the side, bit in the margins, deceased August 20, 69th year of, it's just
00:16:28: a sass.
00:16:29: I don't had the clue that I don't remember what was.
00:16:33: Oh, was that it?
00:16:59: Oh yeah, I was thinking yesterday.
00:17:01: Pedestal laying down.
00:17:04: Oh, the wind thr.
00:17:06: It's a governor.
00:17:07: A clue!
00:17:08: Oh, I found something.
00:17:09: That's a fucking clue.
00:17:10: All right, so you guys can't take that.
00:17:12: I would have brought a real prop, but, but it is a burial pin,
00:17:15: which is pointy in metal and can't go on airplanes.
00:17:18: And a clue.
00:17:21: There's a grave splire.
00:17:23: Near the grave of John, when he was doing the first governor
00:17:27: Massachusetts. You guys find a burial pin and it is glowing like
00:17:34: a key. Gosh. As you reach to take it, you hear the sound of the
00:17:42: dead speaking to you. It says what holds the dead below by
00:17:51: Take the iron, leave the weight.
00:17:55: Blood, breath, name, memory, voice, fortune, warmth,
00:17:59: or reflection, the earth accepts what the living can lose.
00:18:03: So in order to take the burial pin,
00:18:05: you guys have to choose one of those things,
00:18:08: leave behind.
00:18:09: I can it, it's too heavy.
00:18:11: You gotta put your blood on it.
00:18:13: So yeah, he does it, he puts the blood on it.
00:18:14: You gotta bleed them, drop the blood on it.
00:18:17: I open up my artery.
00:18:19: Holy s***, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,-
00:18:25: All right, so you leave blood.
00:18:28: Wait, where's the coins?
00:18:29: Of my blood.
00:18:30: I can leave some change.
00:18:31: No, that, that's, that's the neck, that's the coin.
00:18:34: Hang on.
00:18:35: Somebody had left the coin.
00:18:36: Yeah.
00:18:37: Wow.
00:18:38: All right, squeeze out the blood.
00:18:39: What do we have to leave a coin at?
00:18:41: The blood touches the iron and does not drip down, it climbs.
00:18:55: Thin red threads creep up the burial pin, filling old cracks in the metal like veins
00:19:00: remembering a body.
00:19:01: The frost around the pin turns pink then black.
00:19:11: and it slides free into your hand,
00:19:13: wet with blood that is already cold.
00:19:41: There you go, Benji, this is your clue.
00:19:43: That's your clue.
00:19:44: So I missed it, but how.
00:19:45: Look like you're reading it.
00:19:46: That's the place.
00:19:47: Well, I came over and I found it and there was a glowing...
00:19:51: I was trying to...
00:19:52: In it.
00:19:53: Ah, okay.
00:19:54: Clue.
00:19:55: That's on the clue.
00:19:56: But, yeah, so this is the grave for John Winthrop.
00:19:59: The first...
00:20:00: Ah.
00:20:00: governor or it gets the mark for all the governor's name first governor's
00:20:04: message your hand still works but it feels distant I have strength in it has
00:20:09: been buried somewhere else oh dang bear strength my princess is in a castle no
00:20:14: see we could have left some money do the stranger but have been like oh you
00:20:18: can't spend money you which is really great for me because I'm all right
00:20:22: terrible like this from now on but yeah it's a big slab as a for the
00:20:28: Some old Winthrop family.
00:20:29: The lion, Spass, Vincent Thronam is the motto.
00:20:36: This isותר Winthrop's.
00:20:37: Yeah, wow.
00:20:39: John Winthrop, first governor of Massachusetts,
00:20:42: 1588 to 1649, that's how old this is.
00:20:45: John Winthrop, the younger.
00:20:47: Yeah, 1606, first governor of Connecticut.
00:20:51: I wonder if these people are-
00:20:53: Is that a coin on his thing?
00:20:55: It's got a coin up there, yeah.
00:20:56: Did he put that there?
00:20:57: Dang, good deal.
00:20:58: Ron Winthrop was only 18 when his son was born.
00:21:00: Really?
00:21:01: Hell, yeah.
00:21:02: Wow.
00:21:03: Yeah, wait a minute.
00:21:04: Oh, many.
00:21:23: And all of you guys listening at home, it's all overcast today., it's pretty cool.
00:21:31: It's pretty cool.
00:21:32: The view right here of King's Chapel in front of us and the Homie Parker directly behind is
00:21:39: pretty sweet.
00:21:40: Ignore the fact that there's a Ruth's Cris next door.
00:21:45: That's the old city hall which is now Ruth's Cris Steakhouse.
00:21:49: How much cooler city hall than they have now?
00:21:52: For real.
00:21:53: Alright.
00:21:54: Alright.
00:21:55: One down, five to go.
00:21:57: I think we do the Fanuel Hall marketplace next.
00:22:07: Googled it and I, according to Google, I've been pretty much in place wrong the whole
00:22:13: time.
00:22:14: And we'll be back in a couple of minutes, and then we'll be back in a couple of minutes.
00:22:49: My city, and surrounded by ordinary sounds of Boston.
00:22:52: At night, even though we're here during the day.
00:22:54: Oh, it's night.
00:22:55: It's night.
00:22:56: Footsteps, traffic, distant laughter.,
00:22:58: the living city, continuities of nothing under it
00:23:00: has begun to stir.
00:23:02: But as you draw closer, the sound changes.
00:23:04: The crowd noise does not fade.
00:23:06: It deepens, and Sam runs away. one minute.
00:23:09: Sam.
00:23:09: Sam.
00:23:10: Where you going?
00:23:12: The keep is trying to tell us something.
00:23:14: Voices gather where there should be none.
00:23:16: arguments, speeches, accusations, prayers, and testimony, hundreds of them, thousands.
00:23:23: All of overlapping, all whispering from different centuries.
00:23:26: The doors stand closed, then from inside a boy says, who stands witness?
00:23:32: And the doors open.
00:23:33: We do.
00:23:34: Nicholas Case does.
00:23:35: Alright, so you guys go inside.
00:23:36: The hall is full, not with tourists, not with merchants, not with the benches
00:23:46: balconies and shadows are crowded
00:23:47: with figures from different centuries
00:23:49: somewhere uniforms some aprons some
00:23:51: fine coats some rags some carry
00:23:54: ledgers think we get that some carry
00:23:57: nothing but the my died
00:24:00: they do not look at you at once
00:24:02: instead each group waits to see which
00:24:04: of them you choose to address
00:24:07: so address them all
00:24:10: they're all waiting all the dead are
00:24:12: waiting to see who is addressed
00:24:13: you have the workers, the soldiers, the condemned,
00:24:18: , The Forgotten Poor, the mothers and children,
00:24:22: and the witnesses of the city.
00:24:24: And whoever you choose to address
00:24:26: will give you a different.
00:24:27: Which one is all women?
00:24:30: The mothers and children.
00:24:31: Oh, well that's obviously who's going to be in a dress.
00:24:35: All right, I'm going to check the witnesses.
00:24:37: No, you guys have to collectively choose.
00:24:39: What?
00:24:40: Oh, we all have to talk about it.
00:24:42: Yeah, yeah.
00:24:43: I don't know how many we want to address.
00:24:45: Fifty different times.
00:24:46: Women and children.
00:24:47: .
00:24:48: You guys discuss them all yourself.
00:24:49: Witnesses.
00:24:50: Whoever one you choose will have an effect on how the final scene plays.
00:24:53: Alright, so I got witnesses who want something else or wants witnesses too.
00:24:57: Like I said, collectively you pick one.
00:25:01: That's what I'm trying to get them to do it
00:25:03: the freaking dude do it already you guys will talk to witnesses soldiers children
00:25:06: what do you want to do oh what do you want to do I just oh my gosh talk to
00:25:10: everybody I said talk to the freaking witnesses that's the one of the group I
00:25:13: think everybody all witnesses he said something about we cool we talk to
00:25:17: and won't destroy the city the witnesses maybe. We talked to the soldiers it's
00:25:22: definitely more scalable yeah you probably yeah let's probably talk to the
00:25:26: I can fight women and children all day.
00:25:28: Yeah, right.
00:25:30: I can't get away with this much.
00:25:32: All the way.
00:25:33: Witnesses are stoolies.
00:25:34: Are you a witness?
00:25:35: Are you a soldier?
00:25:37: I'm not a soldier.
00:25:38: I don't really care.
00:25:39: Well, okay.
00:25:40: I'm looking at the notebook fragment.
00:25:42: And the very last line says they do not
00:25:44: rise merely to kill.
00:25:45: They rise to be witnessed.
00:25:47: Right.
00:25:48: If that has anything to do there.
00:25:50: So, soldiers can kill and be witnessed.
00:25:53: Interesting fact-toid about this place if you guys want fact-toids more than four
00:25:59: how many are they that statue of Sam Adams yeah does not look like Sam
00:26:04: Adams because he was actually a hideous wildebeest use somebody else's face nice
00:26:12: and the base that they use in fact King George really that is such an American
00:26:18: I think you do, I think you think you do.
00:26:19: Brutal.
00:26:20: Brutal.
00:26:21: But the ugly is somewhere else.
00:26:22: All right.
00:26:23: How many people?
00:26:31: All right.
00:26:32: We're letting the dice decide.
00:26:33: All right.
00:26:39: Does it...
00:26:40: , are we picking the group we have to fight?
00:26:42: Because I can fight women and children in the dead.
00:26:44: You're picking the group that you are appealing to, to try and get them to not...
00:26:49: We're gonna let the dice decide now.
00:26:50: We're assuming the soldiers, but...
00:26:51: Let's say soldiers. I don't want soldiers destroying the city, they're capable.
00:26:54: Alright, they're gonna rise up all the way to the city.
00:26:56: Oh look, unless you're talking about long-term destruction of civilization, then that's the women, of course.
00:27:02: Yes, of course.
00:27:03: Then...
00:27:04: It's got a point.
00:27:07: The soldiers.
00:27:08: You're gonna pick the soldiers?
00:27:09: So you have to pick one
00:27:14: the soldiers.
00:27:17: And then you gotta actually give me some sort of speed shot.
00:27:21: I don't want to undress any soldiers, but I will.
00:27:24: Who's got the best like character sheet?
00:27:26: I got a wicked good talk, fast book.otion.
00:27:31: And persuasion.
00:27:33: I'm really good at drafting architecture and physics.
00:28:06: So I'm the best talker, all right, I talked to the soldier, what does he say, what are you saying, what are you saying, what are you saying, what are you saying, to get them to not destroy this thing?
00:28:24: Remember the whole thing with this is the dead feel forgot and you want them to not feel forgot.
00:28:35: feel for God all right that's the ritual is a state to remember the day
00:28:40: think you're going to be fearless what they say about John Adams he's a dead
00:28:44: fear for God so we're in faniel squared is a big statue of John Adams in the
00:28:49: middle of it Sam Adams what I say Sam Adams yeah all right he will not be
00:28:57: forgotten John. Why am I preaching the gospel to these soldiers? I said channel that. Ah,
00:29:06: but preach not killing the city and they will be remembered and do not me. It says
00:29:11: thou shall not kill. Also, if you directly translate that from Hebrew is do not murder
00:29:18: or muck duck. Anyway, the city is now full of duck boats. See what happens when you
00:29:25: I'm the change of ways. I'm the change of ways. I plead with you with all
00:29:30: with all my Boston war. Look, what are we going to do if we don't have

00:31:06: Let's see if he can one the soldiers.
00:31:07: Go ahead, Donovan.
00:31:09: That's a hard fail.
00:31:11: Nice.
00:31:12: That's a full combo.
00:31:30: Oh, 70.
00:31:31: Yeah, you can push the roll but remember you're a bunch of сох
00:31:32: of dead soldiers.
00:31:33: All right.
00:31:34: Here we go.
00:31:35: We need you to see you.
00:31:36: You have a new character sheet.
00:31:37: Let's.

00:32:08: He draws a sword and he swings it at you. Are you gonna fight back or dodge
00:32:15: I can't fight a ghost
00:32:17: Then I suggest I have the sword of a seal door. You do not that was a lie. That wasn't a lie
00:32:23: The sword has a name.
00:32:26: Oh this.
00:32:27: Oh my hands.
00:32:28: Yeah, it's a face.
00:32:29: My hand, Doc.

00:32:43: Hold on.
00:32:44: Yeah, who's our extra character?
00:32:46: It was a cop, right?

00:33:35: right. Unfortunately, you have lost the crowd. You said D3? You have two choices. You can
00:33:42: Continue to try and fight or you can run away from the horde of angry ghosts
00:34:12: We need your help.
00:34:14: Don of them.
00:34:16: Don't tell them you're going to steal the Declaration of Independence.

00:34:24: Like the un Imburdenable weight of massive talent?
00:34:26: Yeah, the unbearable weight of massive talent.
00:34:28: I have the unbearable weight of massive talent.- Since the unbearable weight of massive talent.
00:34:33: Since you were here, people have stolen the Declaration of Independence.
00:34:38: The country is not what it was that you fought for, so we need to steal it back.
00:34:45: When I need you with me, steal the Declaration of Independence.
00:35:10: You're not gonna get it.
00:35:15: Come on, come on.
00:35:17: You're riding the boat here.

00:35:46: What?
00:35:47: This is a hard success of a 55.
00:35:49: You need a 27 to succeed.
00:35:52: I can take a couple of extra more.
00:35:54: I can take a couple of extra more.
00:35:56: I can take a couple of extra more.
00:35:58: I think I'm going to get a 33.
00:36:00: They didn't love me.

00:38:02: They've got shops and crap inside.
00:38:14: Alright, we're entering the Faneuil Hall.
00:38:18: entering Faniel Hall visitor center and retail shops.
00:38:23: All right, Pete.
00:38:24: So what exactly in the world is Faniel Hall?
00:38:26: Is it like a courthouse?
00:38:28: Yeah, it was kind of like,
00:38:32: so Faniel is the guy's last name.
00:38:34: I can't remember his first name.
00:38:36: I'm gonna say Daniel.

00:38:52: by wealthy merchant Peter Faneal,
00:38:54: you can remember his first name,
00:38:56: as a combined marketplace
00:38:57: and public meeting hall gifted to the city,
00:39:00: its upper hall became a fiery forum
00:39:02: for revolutionary ideas,
00:39:04: posting protests against the sugar act and stamping,
00:39:07: and speeches by Samuel Adams
00:39:08: and the other sons of Liberty

00:41:14: long building all right I
00:41:54: for the night. Light spills from the windows, voices press against the glass,
00:41:59: somewhere inside people are laughing.
00:42:24: Glasses are clinking, chairs are scraping, music is playing just loudly enough to make the place feel alive.
00:42:24: the bar raises their glasses. Glasses in perfect unison to those below they say no one laughs
00:42:31: no one reacts no one seems to notice then another table lifts their glasses to those below
00:42:40: the the bartender pauses mid-pore their eyes and focus their hand reaches toward

00:43:23: Probably have non-alcoholic water. You know my father was a
00:43:28: abusive alcoholic. Alright
00:43:39: There's a door over here. Do you want to go in the green dragon instead?
00:43:42: Is this the place we're going? Yes. I'd rather go to the green dragon if that's
00:43:46: It's cool.
00:43:47: Well, we can do both, I mean.
00:43:49: Alright, let's I do both.

00:44:11: I'll take one too.
00:44:13: Tall.
00:44:14: What is it?
00:44:15: Do you want to try it?
00:44:22: Do you want to try it?
00:44:29: New England is known for their hard cider.

00:45:00: What did you say, Don?
00:45:02: This has been my favorite location so far as Boston.
00:45:05: The hotel, everything.
00:45:10: What are I you guys getting?
00:45:12: Just getting the freedom, the burgers.
00:45:14: I'm going to get the Paul Revere burger.

00:45:24: The only one that, the bar tender reaches for
00:45:54: Here's the toast. I want you guys to roll a cow check.
00:45:58: I got to get someone else's diet so I don't have to get them out.
00:46:06: Oh, 6 baby. Oh, 10-14. I mean 14.
00:46:14: No, I got no one left. That 오케이, that's an extreme.
00:46:17: 56. I got a 46.
00:46:20: That's a fail. Oh, that's a success.
00:46:24: Let me see. 56 for me.
00:46:27: So far all three of us have succeeded.
00:46:30: 55. Can I spend luck on pal? Yeah. One luck. So we've all succeeded. Alex did you roll?
00:46:41: I spend four luck. All right....
00:46:50: You feel like you should repeat the words. But you're able to clear your mind and not repeat
00:47:01: the rest of the chant you have a second act now what will do so instead of
00:47:12: repeating the chant the rest of the bar has said you have a second to act what
00:47:17: do you do we, we finish the whole toast, what is it well heard not called, heard not
00:48:01: Every face turns toward you.
00:48:03: Hindle's face, possible moment.
00:48:05: Hollowed eyes, stained.
00:48:07: Listening to the boards.
00:48:09: Then something under the tavern exhales.
00:48:11: Server spell on the wall.
00:48:23: Conversation resumes.
00:48:31: to ring you guys gain the tempered voice which means something when you get
00:48:39: to the final thing okay but also guys to the Arkham files where else we got
00:49:14: So we got the granary, bearing ground, and the basket.
00:49:18: Oh yeah, the granary, that's where we're going.
00:49:20: That's the best thing we've ever done.
00:49:21: Which way?
00:49:22: Heading towards the granary.
00:49:23: spew the granary.
00:49:24: Yeah, just back the way we came, we got to go back to the Omnipockets, it's like passing in the opposite
00:49:29: direction.
00:49:30: Okay, we went to the hall, we did the tavern, okay we completed the challenge here, right?
00:49:36: Yeah, we did.
00:49:37: But we could just go that way because that's right.
00:49:38: We could just go that way because that's right.
00:49:39: We could just go there.
00:49:40: We the cloud if
00:49:45: you guys he really wants another bit
00:49:47: for you for you for you you really I said was that cider mid what do you
00:49:55: mean my mid My like me yeah okay for me I really
00:50:00: It was a little sweeter than I normally think, it was good.
00:50:09: And it's gonna get stuck.
00:50:10: I didn't like it.
00:50:11: Yeah, I did.
00:50:12: It was like this is an Abe-style bed.
00:50:14: So last night, Sam and Donovan went
00:50:15: to go pick up our pizza.
00:50:16: We ordered it to the hotel, had to go down
00:50:18: to the lobby and pick it.
00:50:19: They go down to the lobby, they picked it up,
00:50:21: they come up and they bring it up to the room,
00:50:24: they lay it out, we open it up.
00:50:26: It.
00:50:27: It looks a little muck.
00:50:28: It's a little sloppy.
00:50:29: .
00:50:30: The pizza's a little bit sloppy.
00:50:31: I mean, it just kind of looked a little sloppy, it was cut really weird anyway, so it's like maybe they're just some sloppy pizza makers
00:50:42: But we were informed today, the case, so Sam and Donovan, what exactly happened?
00:50:51: So we met the door-dash guy in the lobby, got the pizza from him, we were real excited to eat him, three pizzas
00:51:01: .,,, thes a
00:51:31: And I, I, I, I, I
00:52:31: why are you the way to be fair that was the best pizza I've ever eaten it was the
00:52:41: best he ever eaten so good you could taste the humping right in it baked it
00:52:51: right in there yeah now we have the order pizzas humped or unhumped
00:52:54: Yeah, definitely not to specify, homes or unhomes.
00:52:59: Also, we will never send Sam and or Don on our feet to get our food.
00:53:04: They did not give us any remuneration out-of-our-site.
00:53:07: There's the, uh, that one, Jeff.
00:53:12: That's where the Boston Tea Party began.
00:53:16: And the Boston Massacre. We can walk down there if you guys want.
00:53:19: That's where the Boston Massacre was.
00:53:21: Should we take detour?
00:53:25: So it doesn,t want to go
00:53:55: Oh, yeah. We already saw this. I'm going to drive it.
00:54:00: Oh, yeah.
00:54:03: This is a balcony.
00:54:06: This is the site where the, like that seal is where the bomb happened.
00:54:13: This Chipotle used to be a bookstore.
00:54:17: What's this?
00:54:19: Clock tower.
00:54:20: Is that, say, the old?
00:54:25: - Yeah, that's my- I think that's actually the spot where the Boston Tea Party began.
00:54:30: Oh.
00:54:31: That Chipotle would just pass used to be a bookstore
00:54:34: I think they're hiding under the floorboards here.
00:54:35: And, Charles Dickens read many of his works aloud to the assembled crowd from that bookstore that is now a Chipotle.
00:54:45: But, I bet, he would've loved Chipotle.
00:54:46: Probably would've. Imagine reading your books aloud over a Chipotle.
00:54:54: Oh, hey, here we are.
00:55:09: We are walking towards the Granary Road.
00:55:13: We are walking towards the Granary.
00:55:16: The granary burying ground is dark and still still, so Boston moves around it.
00:55:26: Beyond the fence, the city continues.
00:55:28: Traffic, voices, footsteps, the distant chatter of the living.
00:55:33: But inside the burial ground, those sounds thin out, as if the, the iron gate is not keeping
00:55:38: you out, but keeping you in.
00:55:40: The stones, crowd, some names are sharp and famous, others are worn almost smooth.
00:55:47: Some markers seem too small to hold the fives beneath them, then you hear it, not a bell.,
00:55:53: hooves.
00:55:54: A faint rhythm on stone, a faint rhythm on stone, approaching and fading, approaching
00:56:03: and fading, as if a rider is circling the burial ground but never arriving.
00:56:08: The map trembles in your hands, the line marks the field of the father's darkens.
00:56:13: among those graves a sentry who warned the living is waiting so as you remember the challenge
00:56:19: read oh we gotta find Paul Revere theis grave the stone is small but its owner is revered
00:56:24: who warned the living the living and pay the dead who warn you now one coin for
00:56:28: the grave one name for the hill listen for a super annoying guy talking about
00:56:32: British people all right you guys enter to find small stone and you wander the
00:56:41: bearing ground in front of you is a giant obelisk stretching towards the
00:56:46: guy that says Franklin on that is Ben Franklin's family plot. Come on Charles. I'm coming Tony, big Tony. I didn't hear what Pete said. What are we looking for? Paul Revere. Yeah. So
00:57:08: Benji. Yeah. What about this one? Little one right in front of it. Oh there's a stone for him I would say. We've got a lot of people over there in the
00:57:20: corner all right that's probably better out there these places are nuts
00:57:31: there's two people left bunch of coins there the bells are sounding from the
00:57:41: chapel yeah one of 45 plastic etched stones the dude's founded
00:57:48: life buried in 1818 let's get a picture of this cat pushing late wife to cat
00:57:59: Jeremiah Cushing aged 60 years, December 24th, 1689.
00:58:05: I think, skull and crossbones on that one.
00:58:11: Yeah, they put a lot of coins on Paul Revere.
00:58:13: Oh, we found it.
00:58:14: Oh, dang.
00:58:15: Look at that.
00:58:16: There he is, tune.
00:58:18: Found it guys, it's over here, the big one and the little one
00:58:21: Tony DeMar
00:58:25: I got the coins
00:58:27: Who's got the coins?
00:58:28: I got the coins

00:58:47: Hey but I want you to make a pow check
00:58:49: Maybe that is a, maybe that is a success
00:58:51: Probably maybe even in this extreme extreme. All right. Have you laid your coin?
00:58:59: Get your coin down. Yeah. That's a
00:59:02: Success, I just put it on the tiny one. I did
00:59:06: Oh, I'm putting on a little one. All right
00:59:09: Seth Alex and Donovan dot have to make pal checks. Oh, no. No. Huh. Did you see that? Did you guys both succeed?
00:59:15: Yeah, yeah, I am all right. So Sam Abe and well dropped his dice
00:59:20: You got to roll a d6 for sanity whoa
00:59:27: He's gone going insane
00:59:30: This is Paul Revere's memorial that is his actual grave the tiny thing I thought you said tiny and then this wasn't
00:59:39: Six oh no who about a madness I
00:59:42: I rolled a six. The stone is smaller than expected. All right, you got to do about it, Madness.
00:59:48: Rolling intelligence check. They put the coin on the wrong grave. You got to run around and kill him.
00:59:55: He rolled a pal check. He failed. He rolled a d6 sanity.
01:00:00: It's a military thing. You
01:00:35: Oh, I failed!
01:00:37: Oh, I didn't!
01:00:39: Congratulations!
01:00:41: That means you're going around the graveyard.
01:00:44: That's right, and I would have.
01:00:46: I'm kind of disappointed about it.
01:00:48: I would have been like.
01:00:50: You're going all around the graveyard.
01:00:52: The stone is smaller than expected, smaller than the name deserves, unless you talk to Donovan.
01:00:57: As you draw close, the hoofbeats stop.
01:01:00: The graveyard listens.
01:01:02: My first coin touches the stone
01:01:04: We have rain sweat and old smoke the hell the second point makes the shadows between the graves deepened by the third the shadows are full of people
01:01:13: Not revere, not only revere, the dead are listening.
01:01:18: So you guys get to choose who you are dedicating this to.
01:01:22: The forgotten child, the condemned criminal, the laborer, the soldier, the nameless and the patriot.
01:01:29: How do we know who to dedicate this to?
01:01:32: Should we do the patriot?
01:01:34: I
01:01:43: mother or the Patriot team to the clues help us with this at all or not
01:01:47: not change should we roll a dice the Patriot Patriots time Mel Gibson yeah
01:01:55: Patriots are he's like you guys also the football team dedicate your coins to
01:02:00: the
01:02:13: When it comes up, I'm knowing that Donovan's going to be wanting to dodge.
01:02:20: Don't.
01:02:23: You can't fight a ghost.
01:02:24: Alright, ready to go?
01:02:30: It's up to you guys.
01:02:31: There's a lot of cool graves around here if you want to take a few minutes.
01:02:35: What's the next location
01:02:36: Just down the street to the right.
01:02:38: Let's go there.
01:02:39: It's half a block.
01:02:41: Who else is buried over here?
01:02:43: Okay, let's go there.
01:02:44: They keep stopping up in there.
01:02:45: I don't, I don't remember. John Hancock. Sam Adams is over there.
01:02:51: It's the joke that they make. His grave is right here at the front.
01:02:54: Yeah. And then there's a bar across the street where, you can ante a cold Sam Adams while looking at a cold Sam Adams.
01:03:00: Which of course I do. Last time I was here.
01:03:04: Well I look at that dude.
01:03:08: Big skull and cross bones, man.
01:03:11: It's the body of Benjamin.
01:03:12: I like that.
01:03:13: I like that.
01:03:14: I like that.
01:03:15: I like that.
01:03:16: I like that.
01:03:42: Boston. By now you've had the opportunity to experience some of
01:04:12: Neal Hall, citizens have gathered for generations to debate the pressing issues of their day.
01:04:20: And, judging by the sounds we're hearing, some of them are still debating.
01:04:25: Rather vigorously, in fact.
01:04:31: Oh, for heaven's sakes, you again?
01:04:34: She called them, she promised them witness,
01:04:37: but she did not understand what answering would cost.
01:04:41: Yes, while our official tour materials do recommend making reservations before arranging
01:04:46: large group activities. Do you not understand that dead are coming? Madam, I am an audio
01:04:55: I understand precisely nothing.
01:04:58: Then why can you hear me?
01:05:02: That's of Boston Common is America's oldest public park.
01:05:19: Today, it's a delightful gathering place for families, tourists, joggers, and recreational enthusiasts of all ages.
01:05:27: Historically, however, the common also served as a side of public executions.
01:05:33: Which, if our information is correct, may be making a limited time comeback.
01:05:37: Clapper.
01:05:47: Well, that's absolutely horrifying.
01:05:51: You have arrived at your destination.
01:05:53: As you step out of the gran, the city rushes, traffic,
01:06:45: That's like Southwest.
01:06:46: Southwest, coming from the Southwest.
01:06:49: I'm getting a FaceTime from that witch lady from the hotel
01:06:52: Here.
01:07:03: feel the time is short something is coming all right let's go to the bus and
01:07:10: commons and defeat it. Let's go. Congratulations. I don't see it.
01:07:27: The sign is directly in front of us. It is the oldest park in刺 in the
01:07:32: country. It's a park. As you guys approach common you feel the weight
01:07:41: in the drone dice now yes shut up you try to walk into the park and you find
01:07:48: that you can't there's some sort of barrier pressure in the air and barrier
01:07:56: that is causing you to not it is somewhat pliable but it is firm enough to
01:08:05: where you can't simply walk through it.
01:08:11: Can Tony and I get on the both sides of the barrier?
01:08:16: I don't think that's going to happen.
01:08:17: You have to walk through the barrier
01:08:18: if you want to guarantee it.
01:08:19: The other side I think we can get around the whole let us do it so we can't get it in the park
01:08:27: What can I roll a feel something?
01:08:30: resisting
01:08:32: Are and trying to push through yeah try yeah all right you. You try to push through the barrier
01:08:39: I want you all to roll a power I'll check all of us. We all pushing through but
01:08:45: Anyone who wants to push through into the park
01:08:48: Because you completed the ritual at the hand and bell
01:08:52: Bell and hand
01:08:55: You get a bonus time you get a bonus time
01:08:57: Okay, I need somewhere to roll whoo. All right guys succeed
01:09:03: But I guess
01:09:06: Yes, 80 for
01:09:12: I succeeded
01:09:17: You're playing dice in the park
01:09:19: I rolled a 19 I rolled a 19. I'm proud tradition of playing dice in the park
01:09:24: Yeah, 97.
01:09:26: Okay, take the 57.
01:09:28: Seth, you need to roll.
01:09:30: Oh, did you succeed?
01:09:31: Oh, we got a bonus start, right?
01:09:32: , yeah. So you succeeded with that?
01:09:34: I think. I got to check my roll.
01:09:36: No, I didn't roll.
01:09:38: Yeah.
01:09:40: I got a 57 out of 65.
01:09:42: Okay. Okay, so everybody succeeded.
01:09:44: You are able to push through the barrier
01:09:46: and enter the common.
01:09:48: As you look above and in the sky
01:09:52: And a dome shape over the over the entire park the sky is red
01:10:00: It is almost like lightning is above you in the dark red clouds.
01:10:07: However, as-you-were-looking up, expecting something to come from above,
01:10:13: and instead you feel something erupt from below.
01:10:18: The dead come ripping out beneath your feet
01:10:25: and they're coming for you.
01:10:28: You gonna find a table?
01:10:29: Yeah, let's go find a table.
01:10:30: Oh, well you gotta find that.
01:10:32: I mean, I'm running the tree.
01:10:35: Let's go find the tree.
01:10:35: The tree, I'm running to the tree!
01:10:38: You need to find a man's hill.
01:10:40: Yeah, you gotta find a man's hill.
01:10:42: Oh, that's a big man.
01:10:44: Has the dead come after you?
01:10:45: Oh, I'm running.
01:10:47: All right, as the dead come after you,
01:10:48: I'm gonna give you the historical context
01:10:51: ,
01:10:58: Boston Common is where the executions took place.
01:11:01: But can you guess where the dead were buried after these executions?
01:11:05: The graveyard.
01:11:06: They were buried under Boston Common.
01:11:08: Really?
01:11:10: They have no reliable estimate of the people under the ground here.
01:11:14: When they dug up the ground to put in the subway,
01:11:17: they just kept finding bodies.
01:11:20: So they stopped counting
01:11:28: Turn into bodies.
01:11:29: There is the hangman's tree, guys.
01:11:32: What?
01:11:33: Is that like the capital?
01:11:34: so as you know from the riddle the ritual concludes at the hangman's
01:11:41: tree okay and that is where you have to stop the final bell before it rings and
01:11:46: We assume the city
01:11:49: There is the original I think that's the original governor's mansion
01:11:54: But the tree next to it is that where the top is actually gold leaf
01:12:04: So is that the trees at the hang
01:12:08: ?
01:12:09: Can you make a history
01:12:46: was cut down so it is no longer here.
01:12:55: Alright, as you're waiting, or as you're trying to puzzle this out, the dead approach you, they're
01:13:04: running after you to kill you with their fists.
01:13:07: However, because you were successful and tribute to Paul Revere, they delay one round.
01:13:19: A spectral guardian comes in and protects you for a round.
01:13:25: I'm going to let you use the history.
01:13:29: felt the map burn in his pocket he opened it and the map, instead of the place that
01:13:46: the common was, where the word common, breath from glass, for one second the paper is blank, then another word appears
01:13:53: And you guys realize that the playground is where they used to hang people.
01:13:58: The playground is where they used to.
01:14:05: Right there.
01:14:07: Seriously?
01:14:09: That's a little morbid.
01:14:12: Run free tax.
01:14:15: Alright, we're going to run to the playground.
01:14:26: So some kind of plaque, all right approach the playground you find a
01:14:35: normally in the scenario wouldn't be full of children but we're gonna assume
01:14:39: that they're full of children ghosts underneath the, the arch where a frog
01:14:44: golden frog, bronze frog, you see a fissure in the ground, dive in, there is
01:14:55: that looks almost like a keyhole in the ground beneath it.
01:15:00: I put the key in it.
01:15:01: Glowing red where the dead are erupting.
01:15:08: If you have succeeded at Daniel Hall,
01:15:13: you would be able to get the dead to back away
01:15:16: for you to approach, but since you didn't,
01:15:18: you're gonna have to fight your way through.
01:15:20: All right, I'm gonna distract them
01:15:21: somehow with like juggling.
01:15:22: You're like, we got a good role in the surface.
01:15:24: Let's do it.
01:15:26: Okay.
01:15:33: That's some battle music.
01:15:35: Is that the same guy?
01:15:37: I didn't.
01:15:38: Need all of you to make a sanity roll
01:15:40: since you're surrounded by the dead
01:15:42: and then you ain
01:15:43: fight the dead.
01:15:45: Sanity roll.
01:15:46: Yes,ersch, success.
01:15:52: If the.里.
01:15:55: Three.
01:15:56: Everybody have a decent
01:16:06: sound.
01:16:08: I also failed a three.
01:16:12: Has anybody lost one-fifth of their sanity?
01:16:15: No.
01:16:16: Hold on, let me count.
01:16:18: What's one-fifth of 48?
01:16:20: You have moved there.
01:16:22: You're moving through the dead.
01:16:24: You had to do a sanity roll, two of you failed failed.
01:16:27: One fifth is 20%
01:16:32: I'm good then
01:16:33: All right, should we start brawling?
01:16:35: Alright, how do you guys want to approach this?
01:16:37: What's one fifth of 55?, is it 11?
01:16:41: Yes, then yes I have
01:16:43: You're going to need to roll again, intelligence check
01:16:48: I've lost 13 sanity so far
01:16:52: I have to roll another intelligence check
01:16:55: Okay, intelligence. Intelligence again, 60. No, 24. Alright, roll a d10. That you do. Wait, give
01:17:08: me a 12. This is just to see what kind of man it is. 6. Alright, the, the data is starting
01:17:18: to come out of the ground real fast now. They're coming. This is great. Hang on. Music for
01:17:56: You remember the weight of soil on your chest,t the taste of old cloth in your mouth, a sound of강, walking
01:17:56: You remember the weight of soil on your chest, the taste of old cloth in your mouth, the sound of walking above you for years and
01:19:56: does,
01:20:00: Wait
01:20:05: Unfortunately your dead guy has it. He's in the
01:20:30: Ace Benji is getting a tack.
01:20:32: I'm gonna dodge.
01:20:34: I will give you a bonus on dod the dodging
01:20:36: because Paul Revere is still
01:20:38: successful.
01:20:40: Success baby.
01:20:42: 69.
01:20:44: You get a bonus.
01:20:46: 69.
01:20:48: Oh, imagine.
01:20:52: I succeeded.
01:20:56: I failed too.
01:20:58: 55 your dog is that high 55 baby. No, it's I brawled them. Oh you brought back. I bought back. It's 55
01:21:09: All right, so you see you get a regular success. All right
01:21:14: Donovan I
01:21:16: Unfortunately, he hard six no he didn't know he didn't I'm gonna roll for you take you tell
01:21:29: Alex he failed you both failed lucky you
01:21:31: Seth what did you get all right he attacks you I got four hit points left to

01:21:47: you succeed all right when you reach Benji what do you do I failed to yeah
01:21:53: but he failed to also okay so isn't he brainless yes so you reach Benji
01:21:59: You can feel around, you can feel him up, or you can call his name again like Bastion, and he can get another pal.
01:22:06: Well can I call his name while I'm like, yeah, sure.
01:22:09: Benji, we go snap out of it.
01:22:12: When's the spike, Benji, come on, give me that spike.
01:22:15: Alright, you might have probably did not pick up Benji.
01:22:19: Benji, give me the spike, we go snap out of it, I smack him.
01:22:23: Alright pal.
01:22:24: Yes, pal.
01:22:25: Yes, because you rolled so extremely of success, Benji snaps out of it for good.
01:22:34: Roll the det
01:22:35: I'm by God his left and I hope you get that to your to your pound now.
01:22:39: Okay, the two of you have approached.
01:22:44: That's two.
01:22:46: Yes, you have a throwman, man.
01:22:48: All right, he dies.
01:22:49: It's a spike.
01:22:50: I
01:22:53: Was that where the spike needs to go
01:22:56: You're in there Benjy
01:22:59: All right, do the rest of you you
01:23:11: Have this fight
01:23:50: I'm old and frail a little strength 60 you roll no one dude and then I immediately roll
01:24:00: 165 I want to balance five luck I need to think about this for a minute I try to throw
01:24:08: him in and I stumble on this one I got it Sam as you go to put the nail in an arm bursts
01:24:16: out of the ground and it grabs your wrist and then another arm bursts out and grabs
01:24:22: your other wrist. It's trying to drag you in. The rest of you. It's succeeded but as
01:24:30: he has succeeded he does not have to push the nail in. Are you going to monarch Ben
01:24:36: to help Benji or are you going to help Chuck?
01:24:43: I was running over right behind him so can I, can I help Benji or do you want to help Charles?
01:24:47: Benji and Charles again?
01:24:48: Push Charles, Charles. Everybody, everybody.
01:24:51: I'm trying it's on Charlie.
01:24:55: You can roll Francine.
01:24:56: You can roll for whatever you
01:25:05: want.
01:25:06: You're gonna
01:25:25: Chuck, you gotta roll is the only one who knows anything about it
01:25:38: Over the scenario, okay, I put him in the姓
01:25:45: How you help Chuck
01:25:50: No, I mean like physically what are you doing?
01:25:55: So you grab Chuck yeah, alright, you're gonna have to make a straight hug and I'm yankin don't even whoever you're here. I'm, okay here we go
01:26:10: This is I'm trying Chuck all day to
01:26:17: Oh, it's Tony the Marco Tony, what are you doing? I'm helping push the spike in okay, so you're helping, helping with a spike you can roll whatever you want
01:26:24: 73, I will use...
01:26:31: All right, I'll re-roll then.
01:26:33: What?
01:26:34: Just pick?
01:26:35: No, you gotta pick one.
01:26:37: All right, I'm picking, jeez, Louise.
01:26:39: Fast talk and I spend three luck.
01:26:42: No, it has to be in the top part.
01:26:44: One in the top part is not what you're seeing.
01:26:47: Then I use Dex and I spend three luck.
01:26:52: All right, you use your speed.
01:26:55: And you assist however, Chuck is being slowly, hi.
01:27:03: Chuck is being slowly dragged into the ground.
01:27:05: Oh yeah, you're right, that's my best.
01:27:07: That was, that was my fault.
01:27:09: I have kids, I should have realized a little bit more.
01:27:11: It's embarrassing.
01:27:12: White people, right?
01:27:13: All right, so, Chuck is being slowly dragged
01:27:19: into the ground and with the three of your forces combined,
01:27:23: You have sort of pushed the nail in,
01:27:25: but it's still not all the way in.
01:27:53: I failed.
01:27:55: You failed? Alright.
01:27:57: Abe, what did you get?
01:27:59: He had a hard success, I'm sorry.
01:28:01: You take damage.
01:28:03: Abe, lose 2 damage.
01:28:07: Sam, you can't do a dang thing.
01:28:09: I mean, he gets 2 health back.
01:28:11: No, he takes 2 damage.
01:28:13: Sam, you can't do a dang thing.
01:28:47: No, do we get a bonus dive for dodging from Paul Revere?
01:28:50: No, I think I think we get a bonus dive.
01:28:51: The game's almost over.
01:28:52: No dodging.
01:28:52: All right, Sam, you're going to get another chance
01:28:54: to strengthen your way out, but you take a penalty
01:28:56: and you decide if you're getting dragged farther
01:28:58: or farther into the crevice.
01:28:59: I'm still holding him.
01:29:00: Can we even?
01:29:00: We cancel out the penalty dive because he's still holding him.
01:29:03: Yeah, can he baffle in his mouth?
01:29:04: I know.
01:29:04: Can I baffle in his mouth?
01:29:05: You're halfway into the crevice.
01:29:07: We baffle each other's mouth, though.
01:29:08: Baffle each other's mouth.
01:29:09: No, no, no, no, no, no.
01:29:10: I'm just bopping your mouth.
01:29:11: I just baffle him into the baffle into the crevice.
01:29:13: in your mouth, and then you bop into the zombies.
01:29:15: Sam, you need to succeed or you get pulled into the crevice.
01:29:17: Yeah, I bop into the zombies.
01:29:18: Oh, you've failed.
01:29:19: But if he gets pulled in, you don't need to put the spike in.
01:29:22: You've made a sacrifice.
01:29:23: Oh, no.
01:29:24: Oh, darn.
01:29:25: Oh, darn.
01:29:26: I don't have anything else to live for.
01:29:28: Sam, you failed your strength.
01:29:30: Nice.
01:29:31: Alex, you can either continue to hold on and get sucked
01:29:43: as fast as. Yes. Okay. All right. Is this how it should ever gets the better roll. This is to see, see who goes first. Yeah, whether he let's go or he's having a spike. So just decide the spike or let him try to take the roll. Lowest roll, lowest roll goes first. Either I'm the spike or that's the spike.
01:30:00: It's been a good life!
01:30:02: He gets to go first.
01:30:04: Strength roll.
01:30:06: Strength roll if I can get the spike in the ground.
01:30:08: 60.
01:30:10: 28.
01:30:12: That's a hard success.
01:30:14: You're able to finish, pushing the spike in.
01:30:16: Sam's cutting half.
01:30:18: Sam's I cut in half.
01:30:20: But Alex survives.
01:30:22: He's just holding.
01:30:30: He holds the right half of Charles' body.
01:30:39: So one leg.
01:30:40: Oh, you would have liked this.
01:30:41: He was Mormon.
01:30:42: I only have a diet and pizza in there.
01:30:44: Right?
01:30:45: The right half.
01:30:49: As you you hammer hammer the spike, the earth closes beneath, the dead fade away and the
01:30:59: sky light. You no longer hear the sound of a bell and aside from your one
01:31:07: comrade who has been ripped in half you guys survived this night. There's one more to
01:32:50: remarkable city's history, celebrated its the heroes, and narrowly avoided the annihilation
01:32:55: of the entire metropolitan area.
01:32:58: And what a lovely day for it.
01:33:00: Before you depart, we'd love to hear your feedback.

01:33:07: 5 stars?

01:33:11: 4 stars?
01:33:12: Educational, but mildly traumatic?
01:33:15: Disturbing visions, unexplained injuries and an alarming number of corpses.
01:33:20: Two stars, the dead rose from their graves and attempted to drag me into the earth.
01:33:26: One star, parking.
