Constable Zeke Dawkins

Played by: Alex Morrison

First appeared in: 309: Boom Goes the Dynamite

The new constable of New Jerusalem: a tall, lanky, composed man with gray hair, a mustache and a prairie hat. He is not to be confused with Robert Morgan, the town's long-retired constable.

In 302: The Huggening the mayor mentions that Constable Dawkins keeps the office next door to the town hall. In 303: The Grand Slam Ezra Denny warns Billy and Dom to watch out for the new constable, describing him as chummy with the mayor, and the investigators begin to suspect he may be involved.

In 309: Boom Goes the Dynamite the mayor calls him out after the investigators dump a dead creature in the town square. Hearing that the horde is coming, Dawkins remarks that things have gotten more out of hand than Goodman Gray suggested they would, and the mayor sends him to fetch Gray. He returns at Gray's side just as Gray freezes the mayor mid-confession.

In 310: Salem's Lot he works alongside Goodman Gray to oversee the fortification of Denny's.

In 311: Beefing the Defenses he is overheard agreeing to Goodman Gray's offer of a place in the organization, in return for dealing with the mayor before the night is over.

In 312: Edge of Sharkness he spins the cylinder of his revolver while sizing up Tallahassee Turner at Denny's.

In 314: The Siege the defenders of Denny's Tavern realize that the constable, like the mayor, has not been seen in some time.
