Miss Witherspoon is a nurse at the front desk of Central Hospital in Arkham, met in Mister Corbitt. She is a middle-aged, somewhat portly woman with short curly hair who is seen writing on a clipboard. Her name is a running joke among the hosts and players, who keep wondering whether she is really with or without her spoon (hence "Miss Withouterspoon").

Season 1: Mister Corbitt

105: Radical Medicine

When Billy McConnell and Dom Druncard come to the hospital asking about Randolph Tomaszewski, she tells them that he worked there but is no longer employed. When she learns the matter is another police investigation ("Oh dear"), she takes them to the superintendent, Dr. Doyle, and introduces them as officers with questions about a former employee. Later, as they leave, she lets the two use the hospital telephone to call the others.

Season 4: Radio Man

406: Pain

Billy and Dr. Simeon find her at the front counter of Arkham Hospital, and the Keeper says that Billy recognizes her from the first case. Billy greets her as "nurse with a spoon"; she says that she does not remember him, then says that she does. She is offended by his joke about jumping off a building, since Dr. Doyle, who had been the head administrator and her colleague for 15 years, died after falling from the hospital roof. She insists that Dr. Doyle would never take his own life, says that he looked more and more tired and wrung out after she last spoke with Billy, and, after a Persuade roll, says that his body looked terrible after the fall, as if he had suddenly aged a hundred years. She says that Mrs. Doyle told her everything was fine at home and that Dr. Doyle took no patients, since he was an administrator. When asked whether she is single she says she is Mrs. Witherspoon. She first says the group needs a warrant to see Dr. Doyle's office, then lets them in after a hard Persuade from Dr. Simeon, as long as she is with them and they leave the filing cabinets alone.
