An old friend and ward of Tallahassee Turner, who remembers him fondly as "my good friend Rondo" and as a young man who once wore a sombrero.
According to Tallahassee, Rondo helped him "a ton" when the two of them were stalking the Shadow Rider. Tallahassee thought he had lost him for good.
In 302: The Huggening Tallahassee mistakes Levi, a member of Ike Watson's Gang, for Rondo on the porch of the general store in New Salem and refuses to let go of him. The encounter exists only in Tallahassee's deluded mind.
In 306: Cellar Door Tallahassee Turner sees a headless creature charging at him in a storm cellar as Rondo, his long-lost surrogate son, finally coming in for the hug he refused in New Salem. Tallahassee opens his arms, and "Rondo" bites him on the shoulder. Again, the reunion exists only in Tallahassee's mind.
In 307: Smooth Criminal Tallahassee Turner confirms that he emptied his revolver into the cellar creature he had mistaken for Rondo.
In 308: Infestation the table jokes about Tallahassee Turner apologizing to the creature's corpse as if it were Rondo.
