Frank Kovach
Played by: Alex Morrison
First appeared in: Mister Corbitt
Detective Frank Kovach is an Arkham police detective in Mister Corbitt. Skeptical and sarcastic, he takes the word of respectable businessman Bernard Corbitt over that of the neighbors who keep poking into his affairs, and spends the season being woken up, annoyed, and proved wrong. His partner is Detective Burke.
Season 1: Mister Corbitt
103: Usual Suspects
Kovach and Burke interrogate Tallahassee Turner, Major Bakersfield and Dr. Simeon after they are hauled in from Corbitt's house in the middle of the night. He introduces himself as Detective Frank Kovach and wonders why he was woken from his "delightful slumber" for a doctor, a major and a celebrity explorer. He tells them that officers searched the house and found nobody there, that the "human hand" was a branch Corbitt stores in his refrigerator for fertilizer experiments, and that Corbitt has solid alibis for several murders, including a business dinner with the mayor, Sidel, on the night of the latest, so he cannot be the Miskatonic Mangler. He says that waking people up has not been good for his career, and calls the group "a bunch of clowns". Finally, when they raise their missing friend Dom Druncard, he agrees to look into it and lets them go with a warning, since Corbitt is not pressing charges and the whole affair was "ridiculous shenanigans".
104: Attic Window
Kovach turns up at Simeon's house with Dom, who has been found and brought in after calling the police. He gives Dom a ride, listens to the story of the trunk and the tire iron, and says it lines up with an "I had too much to drink" story. He tells them not to call him again. Billy McConnell, Kovach's partner on the scene, tells the investigators that Kovach accepted Corbitt's explanations, while Billy thought Corbitt seemed nervous.
109: For Whom the Dice Rolls
After Corbitt is arrested and the basement is discovered, the police captain takes Kovach and Detective Burke down to view the hidden room. They take their hats off, staring in puzzlement and horror, then go back up and send the other officers out of the house. A black sedan with four men in dark suits arrives later.
